No update till date. Me & wife called the call center to check what going on and they informed everything is good and now we have to wait for the test date and the agent asked to call again if we dont receive any update by 9th January 2019 (which will be 1 year)

Updates: 10th January 2019
Called CIC on 9th January and was informed that a note has been sent to Mississauga processing office to check whats the status!!!

Updates: 18th January 2019
Again called CIC to check if there any update from the processing office, but as the answer was NO!! So the agent asked us to call by end of January if we still do not get any communication and then they will again put a note on file to check with processing office, so I have no clue on the status... this is frustrating.....

Updates: 29th January 2019
Still no update on the test invitation or date.....will complete 13 months in few days!!!

Received my test date on 29th, below are my details.

There is a slight problem, On 3rd Jan I have submitted my passport for UK VISA stamping as I was planning to travel next month due to official reasons. They have delayed my application and when I contacted them today, there is no confirmation when they will completed the process and send my passport back. Even if I withdraw my application they cant give me a confirmation on the delivery of passport.

Not sure if I can attend the test/interview without my most recent passport. I dont want to reschedule my test as I was waiting for this since a long time. Any advice/help will be appreciated.

These fat asses don’t work

They should return money after one year of no status change. And there pay should be cut.

I'm frustrated from the CIC , exam has been passed since Oct 29 , 2018 , till today the status is still showing in process.
When I call the call center , they told me everything is on order and you have to wait.

it's been 3 months since the exam and 13 month since I applied.
Last time they told me that I have to wait till March and then maybe they will send a request to the officer to ask about the file

Good at least you did your exam .. I wish they call me for the exam first then continue checking my BG...Just spoke with them now still my criminality is in progress since I applied in Feb 2018...

That's weird, criminality should be the easiest/quickest step. For me it was done on the same day of IP. And according to many user on the forum criminality is the first section that gets passed. Did you live in other country during the past 5 years long enough that you need to provide police certificate? If not then I'd say it's pretty weird.

No not at all I have been in Canada since 2013 and never left..They did not ask for anything for us at all. I did a finger print for my son after submitting our citizenship before he travels to study just in case they ask for it although he is minor and received the result from RCMP in few days (CLEAR OF COURSE))..So i dont know

Other members have mentioned we can apply for passport once the status changed to Complete. However, I would wait till at least Tuesday before giving it a try. Unless it is not a hassle for you to go to the passport office multiple times.
