It'll probably still be some time before you get your AOR... The December applicants averaged 49 days from mailing their applications to getting the AOR. It looks like January is trending better at 35 days, but be patient... it all works out in the end.
Hooraaaay ....
Me & my Spouse finally got our AORs...
Hip Hip Hooraaaayyyy....

Now the wait for the test invite begins ....
I'm positive that my processing will be done smoothly ...

ECAS finally works.

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 15, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 22, 2018.

Hi there,

I have still not received my AOR, my documents were delivered on January 25, 2018. I would like to know how other people received their AOR. Last time when I applied for PR, I authorized them to send the email correspondences. And every communication was done through email and the process was successfully completed in 6-7 months. It been a month now and I have not received any email and I see all 99% of the individuals have received their AOR who applied on Jan 25, 2018.

guys, I'm so worried I still haven't received my AOR :( Initially I sent my application on December 1, and it was returned because I checked the wrong box. Second time they received my application on January 26. Does anybody know if it takes longer to receive AOR for the application that has been sent twice?:(

I believe everyone gets their AOR by email. Unless your application is returned, then you get it by regular mail.

You don't need to worry. My documents were received on January 3rd and I only received my AOR two days ago.

You're getting worried about the stats but you're not factoring in that the spreadsheet is FAR from a complete picture. According to the sheets there are only 136 January applicants which is vastly less than reality. If you believe the sheets to be complete then you would be one of only 7 people that applied on January 25th - doesn't that seem a little bit low?

Think of it this way - imagine that I had 1000 tokens. 100 of them are red, and 900 of them are blue. If I were to look at a random sample of 5% of them (50 tokens), there's a chance that 49/50 would be red. If I didn't know that it was only a small a random sample though, then this might lead me to believe that my one blue token was the only one! However in reality there are actually 899 other blue tokens out there and I'd be in the majority.

So as far as the spreadsheet goes - it's a small sample size of the amount of actual applications IRCC has received. This means that it's a good guide as far as when to hope things might progress, but it's impossible to conclude that you're the only one still waiting for an AOR. There might be another 100+ applications received on January 25th that have not put their data in this spreadsheet.

So again, long story short... no need to worry!!! :D
