Whoa this is interesting. We have almost the same timeline I think, and similar situation. Can you share what you said and what questions you asked on the call? I may try to call early next week - probably no chance tomorrow - and would like to avoid the "it's still within standard timeframe" response.

Hello, So sorry for the late reply.
Luckily I wrote down exactly what I asked them.
-Do you have my Schedule A, Police background checks, and was it okay that I send them in originally instead of waiting for a request?

She said, "Yes, we do have both of those documents. They were attached to your account Feb. 21st." awesome.
"So what can you tell me about our application now? Are they waiting on anything? is something wrong?"
she said, "Nothing, from what I can see, is wrong. Everything we need, we have. it looks like you're just waiting for a file transfer."
Me:"does it say where it's going?"
Her:"No, it doesn't"
Me:"I was told before that means there's a good chance it's going to Ottawa"
-she went on to ask me where I heard that from and the details of my previous call-
Her:" .. so my colleague was right in telling you that no notes in regards to what VO it's going to, usually means it's going to Ottawa in this case, but I can not guarantee that."
Me:"Okay. Well I've just been so worried since we haven't heard anything back now in three months and there isn't anything you need. is there anything I should do? any steps I should take?"
Her:"No, you've done everything right and I don't see any reason for you to worry. I will send them a note that they should transfer it" (Which eased my mind cause that means that at least on her end. it looks good. no mistakes and no rejection? yay?)
Me:"That would be awesome thank you."

End of call. I feel like I was rather lucky with her. I will probably be calling again in a month. probably next Thursday if I don't hear anything back by then ( ..and I haven't yet... ]= )

I know one other person from Jan is in this position.
They called and had a similar experience where the person from the call center said that they would send a message to see what the hold up was.
I wonder if we will find out what the message says? Or if we can call again and see if they ever got a response.

I herd that this is totally common for people who are doing Outland.
I just hope it doesn't mean anything bad.

hi everyone!
My husband sent the application on 20 May 2017. He lives in Toronto, I live outland. We are very concern , still now we didn't receive any e-mail. Is this time normal?
Would appreciate any feedback

Yeah I think that's normal, have a look at the spreadsheet for more date information:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...IaGnmsK8S6AoUgJBTv9KHGNPuQ/edit#gid=992511551

The average is 20 days between application received and acknowledgement of receipt. Some people it took 1 week, others it took two months.

Luckily I wrote down exactly what I asked them.

Did you call from within or outside Canada? I was able to get through to the menu using the *67 trick. Of course I'm getting the "no agents available" message but will keep trying. If you called from outside, did you have to convince them to talk to you? I'm concerned that they'll see my number as "blocked" and not talk to me.

My application is not sent on 20 May but on 20 April, and didn't receive yet any answer, my husband call and they told there was a problem in the system. I'm afraid that the documents returned and I'm so stressful about this situation. have anybody this problem is been such a long time. thanks for yours reply.

I have tried calling from my cellphone which is America and it doesn't even go through. I tried calling an outside us number but they're no help and pretty much refused to attempt to transfer me.
I get through by using my spouse's phone since he's Canadian.

How does the *67 trick work??

Hi, Im a feb.applicant too. My husband (sponsor) received his SA last march 22 and requesting us to send IMM5669, and said that they will also send a request to me (principal applicabt) outling instructions to submit the schedule A. But still no email yet. I even checked my gmail's junk and spam. And my cic account got no new message. I feel anxious about this. Help

Hi, im an April applicant, and we somewhat have the same situation, my husband who's in Canada received his notification to submit for SA and were still waiting for the request they said they would send me but still no email yet.

CIC are having major technical issues with the website. That email could probably never come (my situation and many others'). Most likely it has but your spouse has not received any email yet. In that case I would advise you to call the IRCC Call Centre to enquire. They could ask you to upload whichever requested documents through the IRCC Webform. I called them today as well to see if they had attached my documents yet. I uploaded through Webform and the CIC account technical report. Unfortunately they mentioned that those uploads are backlogged for 15 days. Many including myself have sent copies through the mail and have had success. I'm waiting for mine to be delivered.

Wow! Thanks for the immediate response Oulrish. I might really have to send it through mail. But which of the IMM 5669 Form did you submitted? is it the one that has a VALIDATE button - updated Jan 2017 or the other one that is 2012?

You're very welcome. I sent the one updated Jan 2017. Ensure you always use the latest updated form. After you validate, there won't be any barcodes. Don't panic, that's how the form is. Ensure you print a copy and get the PA to hand sign it, just to avoid any risk of them saying something.
