Same, been like that ever since I have linked my "mycic" application. :(

Haha yea same here except no "You passed the medical exam"... even though the exam was done up-front. Oh and we uploaded Schedule A through MyCIC. It would just be nice if they updated it to confirm they don't need anything else - the last line in ECAS is the one stating they sent me a request for further documents which I assume is just the Schedule A. (PCC sent upfront as well).

Yeah, seems like things are going dull for us. :( I have submitted that form from the time we submitted the application last December, no updates until then. We have no request for additional documents ever since my application was transferred to manila.

What is going on with this thread, March thread already has 187 pages!
The January spreadsheet shows 64 applicants, the March spreadsheet has 83. Just more people, I would guess :)

Hey everyone, I have some updates in myCIC after 1 month since my app was transferred to my VO.

They requested me (via myCIC) to upload again my Sched A with the details "Replacement needed". I'm not exactly sure why as there were no any reasons stated. I'm thinking maybe because I wasn't able to upload in myCIC last March when they first requested it because there was no Upload button at that time. Though, I still submitted it via IRCC webform.

This time, they're only giving me an instruction to upload it on myCIC. The initial request for my Sched A last March included options to send it via myCIC, IRCC webform, or mail.

Anyone having the similar request? :)

A similar thing happened to us, we submitted schedule A in hard copy, but immediately got the request to upload electronically. We used the IRCC webform and were asked to replace with no explanation. We called, but they had no additional information. We then used myCIC and realized that there are different requirements for each method of submitting:

The IRCC webform requires a real signature, for example a printed, signed and scanned version.

The myCIC version only requires the electronic "typed" signature and the acknowledgement page stating that the electronic signature is the same as a real signature.

We didn't realize the requirements were different until after we submitted through myCIC. Once we submitted through myCIC, our application was sent to the visa office.

I hope that helps.

My theory for why they have different versions to submit is that it appears that now Mississauga may be helping out the Visa Offices process that background check. We were one of the first ones to be asked for Schedule A to be submitted via myCIC (GCKey) account and also had to forward a copy to the Visa Office (signed), (Those who received SA starting the beginning of March). The first went to Mississauga and the other was for the Visa Office. I think that the ones that people upload onto IRCC webforms is for the Visa Office it will be forwarded to. Our VO requested to be mailed directly, but other Visa Offices probably use the webform.

Before March, it appeared that many people just submitted one copy for the VO who processed the background check. Since that time, it has changed. I think perhaps this is one way they have tried to cut down the processing time to get most apps done before the 12 month mark. We shall see if 80% of the apps sent after Dec 7, 2016 will in fact be processed before the 12 month mark with these changes in effect.

Is it okay to email directly the Canada embassy in UAE? in regards about the passport that we submitted for visa stamping?

Yeah, I initially sent my Sched A through IRCC webform way back in March but I realized that it didn't contain my handwritten signature. But coincidentally, I received an update after that that my app was already transferred to Manila VO so I emailed the visa office containing another copy of my Sched A document this time with the handwritten signature already and they were able to confirm that they already received the document I initially submitted from IRCC and that there is no need for me to submit a new one.

However, I got this request in myCIC now that a replacement is needed for my Sched A so that confused me a bit. The document name is also "Schedule A Online" in their request in myCIC. Is this a normal document name when they are requesting Sched A in myCIC?

Just got off the phone with CIC this morning.
The woman told me that my Schedule A and PCC were attached to my account/ file even though I sent them ahead of time. So that was good to know that they had them.
She did say, however, that everything that needs to be done is Mississauga has been done. so she doesn't understand why it hasn't been transferred to the VO. So she said she will be sending them a message telling them that they need to transfer it.
she said it will most likely go to Ottawa. but my BGC hasn't even been started.
She said she's only doing this because it's been 3 months and we haven't heard anything.
I've read from the facebook group that this is actually normal for OUTLAND application.
Anyone else experience this?

We got SA on March 6 and a week later, they sent an email saying file had been transferred. 6 weeks after they sent email saying they transferred our file (we heard nothing from them meanwhile), I sent the VO an email to enquire about our app. About 10 days later, the VO sent an email saying the file was still in transit. That to me was not possible (no way a file could be in transit for 7 weeks from Canada to Mexico). I assume it was at the VO but not opened. We also called the IRCC call centre a few days before we sent the email and the agent told us they don't know what happened to the file only that on March 13 they sent the email the file was transferred.

Anyways, shortly after we got the email from the VO that the file was STILL in transit, we saw eCAS change to "We started processing your application on May 4". I take that as AOR2 that they opened our file, but no email to say the VO received our file. However I don't know if they have done anything else since that time as there is silence again and no request for documents still.

As far as I know, I am at the same stage as you, nothing has been done even though my file is at the VO.

Only thing is, maybe now that you are on their radar again at IRCC, you might get that change to your eCAS status and your file opened at the VO soon. It is good to complain/enquire to give them a little push to do something.

I don't recall what it said when they requested a replacement, since I'm not the principal applicant, I unfortunately can't check what it says myself. I remember that uploading the form through myCIC was much simpler than IRCC webform, once we were able to find it.

Yeah, it totally is! Anyway, thanks!!
