I was just wondering if you paid the extra $25 RCMP processing fee? I was confused by what the website said. It said that if you need the Criminal Record Check for immigration to Canada, the fee does not apply. But if you are sponsoring a family member, then you have to pay the fee. My partner (the PA) is the one who needs it. So does he fall under the immigration to Canada category and is exempt? He is not the one sponsoring a family member, but he is the one being sponsored. So technically this does not apply to him, however, he is immigrating to Canada under the family sponsorship category.

Our application received by CIC last january 26, 2017 and forwarded to manila offfice last march 2, and till now we don't receive any notification/update if the manila office received our application, is someone here have the same case. Thanks

We used Xl-Id solutions since they had better reviews and cost was reasonable. The company had one fee for processing which included everything plus shipping. The fee does not apply if you are migrating to Canada. If you are in Canada then you can advantage of fee exemption but if you are outside of Canada then its hard since you need an accredited company to help you process the request.

May I please know your timeline? How did they request for your criminal record?
Is it via MyCIC? Thank you.

Here is our timeline. The request was through mycic.

SA side ecas:
-Application received on January 21, 2017.
-AOR on February 15, 2017.
-We started processing your application on February 15, 2017.

PA Side ecas:
-Application received on January 21, 2017.
-We started processing application on March 9, 2017.
-Medical results have been received.
-Received an email on February 21 to send form IMM5562 for travel, passport photos and authorization to disclose form by March 23. We send all required documents in the mail which was received by cic on March 17.
-Background check in progress on May 4.
-RCMP criminal record request through mycic on May 4.

We're almost have the same timeline. we didnot receive any notifications that our application was received by Manila office but we did receive request for original nbi/police cert/AOM and another copy of background declaration to be submitted in Manila Visa Office via VFS. after a week we did receive medical request.

Hey, guys. Seeking your professional opinions. We got our AOR2 and our VO is Ottawa. We haven't been asked yet, but do you think that now that we know our VO that we should just mail our original pccs and schedule A to them? Will they likely request them?

We also use XL-ld solutions and they were pretty quick processing our request, and the instructions are really easy to follow. Yes they give you a fee for all the process.

No new updates. I have not sent the fingerprints in to get digitized yet. I looked at the website for XL-id and it says they include the RCMP fees if required. My partner had his fingerprints done using forms from another company so I sent an email enquiring if we need to pay the extra $25. If this company doesn't give me a satisfactory answer, it looks like we have the option of going with XL-id as they said it might be possible to obtain the fingerprints and send it to them even if we didn't use their forms. I imagine it would be the same format, only we didn't use their forms. So I'll wait and see what the other company says about the fee.

Thank you for your reply, did you link your application? We checked our email every now and then but still no update from CEM, do you think na mas ok na malink ang application namin so we can easily get an updates... Its feels like we are waiting for so long..

yup, nakalink sa gckey. may representative ba kayo? sa pagkakaalam ko if may representative, hindi niyo talaga maaaccess ang gckey. pero kung wala naman kayong representative, parang dapat need na ilink. same here.. almost everyday ako nagccheck and lalong nakakafrustrate kapag nakikita mong ang dami ng naaapprove. anong timeline mo?

Kaka inip lang talaga. Kase mga friends namin 6 months process and got their visa, 4 kameng sponsors ng asawa ko ako and our 3 kids. How about u sis?
