not to sure on your timeline. What visa office is yours at?

AOR1 means that Mississauga has received your application.
AOR2 means that the visa office that is reviewing your application has reviewed it.
SA means sponsor approval and you or your canadian spouse has been approved to sponsor an applicant.

I'm not sure which office, Shanghai,China? probably. So basically I think I'm on AOR1, how do I know I'm on AOR2?
Thanks

Yes it seems so ,if we do compare to other applicants of same timeline. But we r on the same boat as we are on almost same timeline. Our application received on 17 jan 2017. We got our AOR 1 on 16 feb and uploaded requested documents on 25 feb. since then no updates >:(

AOR 1 cic send it when they receive ur application n check all forms r filled..(almost took a month in my case.)
AOR 2 When file been transfer to the visa office of ur country. That visa office contacts u that's Aor 2
SA sponser Approval is a next step after AOR 1 n before Aor 2.. Your sponser should be approved as a sponser (qualify) as per requirements.

Maybe it depends on the country where the sponsored person lives?

Hi everyone. We haven't yet submitted Schedule A. But we received a medical request yesterday

Just got PPR today :D

PA from Norway, processed at VO Ottawa.

congratss :) can you share your timeline ? :)

we received our medical request last night PH time. But we haven't yet submitted Schedule A which they required us before they transfer our application to our visa office. We unable to upload schedule a to mycic. Can anyone please help us, how to upload a file to IRCC webform?

I wonder why in the world they took the Schedule A out of the application kit to be done later on? It was part of the old kit, so we did it upfront and mailed it with everything else (and then they asked us for another one after the file transfer). It doesn't save any time doing it this way and just seems to be causing a lot of problems for everyone. Makes absolutely no sense.

Is my case too slow?
2017.1.13 send
2017.02.22 link online file
2017.02.27 upload additional document
no update since then, it says the eligibility review is not started.....

BTW, what is AOR1, AOR2... SA?
Thanks

Depends on the PA'S nationality. What does your ecas says?

ECAS is the basic online status checker at https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

It will tell you things like when the sponsor is approved, when the principal applicant is in process, when medical results are received and when they get approved.

She is Chinese. What is ecas? Sorry I'm new to the forum. :P

Using the information you got for the AOR1,

go here: (this is ecas)

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do

Use your application number and your last name and Date of birth to check your side of ECAS, and the app number, her last name and Date of birth and country of citizenship to check her side.

Check your status.

Aor1=Acknowledge of receipt 1. You get this when Mississauga receives your application

SA=Sponsor approval, meaning you can sponsor your wife. Right after SA, there should come file transfer.
After file transfer, there is usually a wait that can range from 1 week to 3 months until you get AOR2. I'm not sure how long it takes for HK. My guess is about 1 month.

AOR2=Acknowledge of receipt from the HK office, so when they receive the application there, they will let you know and that will be AOR2
AOR2 can be also a third or fourth line on your ECAS, depending of the content of this line.

Right now your best bet is to check ECAS. Since you are the sponsor, use your credentials to check if there is a DM on your SA.

If there is a DM, go on the PA's side of ecas and verify if they have added a third or fourth line that says something like "We started processing your application on...".

Thanks for the detailed explanation!
This is the last message on my ecas: We started processing your application on February 22, 2017.
I think my case is way slower than the average in the forum. :(

CONGRATS to you! You're PPR already. That was fast! :)

So got PPR just last night but the thing is my husband passport will expire in August, but they need a passport that is valid within 6 months. Passport renewal can take up to 4 months (philippine passport) and we were only given 30 days. *sigh* I will email them saying our situation..
