Hi,

I am so confused about submitting Schedule A Background Declaration. My partner was sent an email that said we should either mail or send by email a completed Schedule A (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature to the VO in Mexico City where our app is being sent to be processed. (They sent us an address where to send it to and also an email address of the VO).

Last night I checked his myCIC account to which our app is linked and under View Submitted Documents, I saw the option available to upload this form and a Schedule 1 (addendum) they also requested.

My partner thinks we should not upload electronically because it specifically asks on our email to send through mail or email to the address provided.

But now I am reading here that you are saying that they will make us upload electronically anyways.

As well there was another person saying on a separate thread that the VO offices (I think they were talking about Mexico VO) don't get these forms that are sent to CPC-.

I don't know what to believe now, as there seems to be so much conflicting information out there.

I understand that people only express what they know through their personal experiences, however, I don't know why IRCC can't just say ... this is what all applicants should do and then just maybe they wouldn't have 10,000 people trying to call them all the time to get information!!! (Sorry for ranting!)

Anyways, I think we will do both, send the forms and upload electronically just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for your post.

Do both perhaps? Mail it and upload it to be safe...I'd imagine it can't hurt! Mine requested a e-copy only. I'm a US applicant so it may be different?

Was able to login Ecas yesterday here is my status

1.We received your application on January 31, 2017.

2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 2, 2017.

3.We started processing your application on March 1, 2017.

My spouse is asked to provide a photocopy of new passport since its going to be expired in July. Will this delay our processing time?

Quick question guys. I am the sponsor. After getting Schedule A and police certificate scanned copy from my wife, is it okay if I submit it on the online CIC account which I linked? It doesn't matter which one of us uploads it, right?

Hi folks,

For the police certificate, it's mentioned at cic website that:

After linking your application, check right away to see what else we need to process your application.
Everyone will find the following in their account:
a request to complete and submit a background information form, known as Schedule A.
a request to submit a police certificate(s).

I managed to link my application a while ago, but I have not seen that request anywhere... And I need to submit them in less than ten days. I don't know what to do!!

hi cindyy,

Please post here if you had any problems sending by email. I told my partner that maybe it's easier to just send the form by email, but he wants to send the forms by courier because he thinks that the VO needs to see the actual signature.

Thanks for posting. It's good to see what others who are going through the same VO have done.

Hopefully the email route works out!

Hi all,

I submitted my wife"s package to CPC-Mississauga PO Box 3000 Station A Ontario via DHL Express on Jan 21 and received on Jan 24 as per DHL, but until now, I still haven't received any email from cic. Anything I can do now to check the status?

Thanks
Howie

You might want to read the email again. As you mentioned that the PA's app has been forwarded to MVO, it should state first that you have met the eligibility as a sponsor.

To answer your question, Yes, you've been approved as a sponsor

The email i got says like this:

"Dear Sir/Madam,

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted to this office on
behalf of XXXXXX and family (if applicable).

This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence of your relative(s) has been forwarded to the Manila vo for further processing. "

I'm confused, the letter does not say that I am eligible to sponsor.,unlike others who received emails stating the eligibility to sponsor, and file transfer

Hi Howie!
You should get an email or a letter mailed out to you in about 22 days. But it is long over due for you now. I never got my letter but my husband (PA) got it via mail. I just used my receipt and checked my application status and found out I was approved as a sponsor. Hope you hear something soon!!!

Hello All,

What is Stage 2 AOR2 (saw this in our Jan spreadsheet)??

SA Approval, visa forwarded...that's usually considered AOR2. So far my application for PR has been "In Progress" since 1/28. My background check has been in progress since 2/28. I'm hoping for a visa request by end of the month.
