I included our emails but for some reason they didn't use it. January 20 I was finally able to check Ecas and it said decision made under sponsor. On Feb 2 I got the letter in the mail saying I was approved as a sponsor and my file was transferred to the Visa Office. The letter was dated Jan 20 and was post dated on envelope Jan 27. Now under PA it shows "in process" but it has never showed they actually sent me correspondence.

Thank you! This is a such a big relief to hear. Why don't they just send us emails? So stressful for us. I have been so worried all day. When did they update your PA to "in process"? Was it the same day that it said "decision" made under sponsor? Or just recently?

For mine, the PR Ecas hasn't been updated...it still just says "received Jan 23", but since I saw "decision made" last Friday, the PR now shows as "in progress" on his CIC account (not Ecas, but the other one that I linked to his application...)...

It is so stressful! I lost sleep because I a lot of people saying they received emails. I don't know if it's just certain Visa officers don't update info or what. Mail is soooo slow. I sure hope they email us from now on.

I actually still can't link to mycic which is frustrating as well.

So January 20 (which was a Friday) I logged in about 11am and it was updated to decision made on sponsor side. On January 28 (Saturday so 1 week and 1 day later) I noticed on the PR side it changed to in process. If you look at the very bottom corner you can see the last time it was updated. In my case it said January 27 so they probably did it late in the day and I didn't notice until the next day.
Under PA/PR it shows they recieved application and medical says recieved but it's never showed anything else.
Same as sponsor side. It shows application recieved but that's it. I just happened to notice the "decision made" had changed.

Thank you! It's so frustrating that they don't just have one set way to do things, it ends up creating more work for them- as so many people have to call in and bug them because their process is different than everyone elses. :D I'll just have to stay patient and positive for now. Thanks again for your reply. :)

(PA side) My status was changed from application received to In process on ecas. Does that mean i'm now aor2?

You should get the e-mail to the sponsor e-mail letting you know the sponsors been approved, then another e-mail after saying your PR application has been transferred to the visa office (and it'll say which one). I think that's the extent of AOR2, at least it was for me.

My husband already received an email for SA last week. Then just yesterday my status on ecas changed from application received to in process but no email yet.

Good news! Keep us posted!

On my side, my wife (canadian citizen) got a SA on February 1 2017, where it was said that file is transferred to the Paris, France VO with the following text in the attached PDF letter to the email she got:

You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in Paris for further processing. This visa office was selected based on your relative’s country of nationality and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

And my ECAS didn't change: it's still on "Application Received"... should i worry?

For information, i still didn't manage to log into my wife's ECAS... Any ideas about how to do that? I tried with Unique Client Number, Receipt Number, and Application Number. And nothing... Any ideas?

When you log into ECAS using your UCI and info, you will see two sides, the sponsorship application status and the permanent residence application status. If you want to log into your wife's ECAS account, use her information (application number, last name, date of birth, and place of birth), in here you will only see the PR application status.

thank you for your attention... I tried to do so with her info, no success...

I'm the PA, so i just see the PR. She's the sponsor, and i didn't manage to login to her account... It always says not found.

till now, she's the only one who received emails... i got my application number with her email.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! BEST OF LUCK FOR YOUR APPLICATIONS!

WELCOME TO JANUARY 2017 SPOUSAL APPLICANTS FORUM:

A few reminders...

CIC Processing Time form on the CIC website:

Home
--> Immigration and Citizenship
--> -->My Application
--> --> --> Check application processing times

and fill up the form. I think it's actually an average of 12 months currently.

wish you all the best

Oh, I see. So for Sponsor's info, you will see two sides. Does she have the SA already? If not, wait for the SA before logging into her ECAS. Yes, SA and AOR1 will be sent to the sponsor. If your VO sends out AOR2 then you will receive it in your own mailbox.

EDIT: I found out you had SA. Try both of your wife's maiden name and married name.

Try:
UCI + Maiden Name
UCI + Married Name
App Number + Maiden Name
App Number + Married Name

Tried all what you proposed, no success... Thanks for your help though, very much appreciated.

The thing is that, i know they said my application is sent to the Paris, France VO. But does it take 2 weeks to be sent by CPC Mississauga, ON, Canada to Paris, France VO?

Hello folks! A little question, in ecas my sponsorship status is "decision made" since feb. 15th, but i havent received any e mail yet, but today i realize that on my wifes permanent resident app has changed fron "application received" to "in process" it supposed to be that they already send it to the visa office in her country?
