They got our application on January 5th. We haven't heard a thing since. And now I'm seeing people who sent their apps in at the end of January and the beginning of February who have already gotten SA. I wonder if the people going through so quickly are using the new kits? We used the old kit and sent it in right after Christmas. I would think they would be doing the old kits first to get rid of them. I'm starting to feel penalized even though the cut off date was still over a month away when we mailed our application.

Ugh, that does sound so frustrating

It's not the new vs. old kit as mine was received on Jan 24 w/ the old kit (medical & police reports included) and was linkable 14 days later. Ours is a pretty open/shut case, though (US citizen, married 10 years & a child).

Is there a rule-of-thumb on how long to wait before calling? When I did my US Citizenship I found out my file had been put on the wrong shelf at some point, resulting in a delay of a few weeks. I was in no hurry, so I didn't notice, but this is a different situation.

It's good to know about the kits. I was a bit curious about that.

Our application is pretty straightforward as well - Canadian married to an American. We've been together for a few years now. I can't really think of anything with my sponsorship app that would be causing a problem and no one has contacted me asking, "What's up with this?" Of course, in that case, at least I would know why it's taking so long. ;D

Not all VOs are same.. look at my case I got Aor1 in 4 weeks. Hope to get SA soon.

I can't say for others, but the row for my application looks like it contains an error. There is a value of 6 in the AOR2 column which I haven't received and that value isn't on the google sheet. Am I misunderstanding the AOR2 column?

Our app was submitted on Jan 23, I was able to link my husbands PR application to our account, and from that used the application number to look at my sponsor application... We've yet to receieve an AOR, and my sponsor application has been "in process" since Feb 3rd....

For those who have received SA- how long did it take from when your app was submitted?

Thanks for the heads up, I will look into it tomorrow. At first glance it looks like it may be getting a date accidentally from the database but I didn't look into the database.

Should be a easy fix though

Haven't added the functionality yet, so I just imported them with SQL.

I plan on developing a API eventually as well to poll the data (not sure what I want to make available though and what to restrict).

Jan 19 - Application sent
Jan 24 - Application received
Feb 2 - Application linked to MyCIC (GCKey)
Feb 9 - Started working on the application. I'm now able to view status on ECAS using file # or sponsor's client ID.
