Got a confirmation e-mail today! Is that equivalent to an AOR1 or is that a different form sent by mail?

I recall reading that I can only see the info regarding my Sponsorship application. In that case does "Review of medical results Passed" mean my wife's medical report has been accepted or is that just an artefact of the process she will need to link the application to see her results?

My application was received Jan 24 (from USA), so the 14-day period seems to be holding.

My application was received on January 16, 2017. I received an email confirming it's received. It had an application number and a UCI. Is that considered an acknowledgement letter?
I managed to check it's status on cic, but when I attempt to link my application to my GCKey account, it says to check back in 24 hours. So I'll just wait

Yup thats the AOR1 we have the same timeline regarding cic account we need to wait for the AOR2 to link our application now ur waiting for the SA.

With the new application process -- you dont do the police clearance upfront??
It says in their guide that we will ask for it when application is in that point.

I did upfront both medical and PCC and they didnt ask me till now.

You don't have submit upfront. But if you do have police certificate, you can submit it. I think most people on this forums did that. If you don't submit upfront they will ask once you link your application online.

Thank you for your reply, when my husband and I Went to get the medical done they said they will only provide it upon request from authorities, so this country doesn't do upfront medical or police. But I was unsure bc of changes in new applic.

Question Do your close friends, family and children know about your relationship?
Issue: For "Are they related to Sponsor or Principal applicant" should we answer yes/no or should we specify say Sponsor/Principal Applicant or is it Relative/Friend
Also, what should be entered in "Relationship to"...

Appreciate if you could give example


2. New applicants, after how long of submitting application, the PCC is asked.

Yes u can write yes/no if they related to sponsor or p.applicant.
Nd in relation to... u can put relation of that person to sponsor/prin.applicant. (mother in law,sister etc)

All other ppl who already submited application ,plz correct me if m wrong

SA: Feb.07(in the morning,CIC showed "Decision made" under sponsor category and in the afternoon received the email said that i met all the requirements to be a sponsor.)

Congrats on getting your SA heystop!! I went ahead and added you to the January 2017 spreadsheet. Here is the link: http://tinyurl.com/z2os87w to the spreadsheet. To fill in some blanks, here are some questions...

1. Which visa office was your file transferred to? Where are you sponsoring your spouse from?
2. Did you use the old forms or new application kit?
3. Was upfront medical completed? If so, when? Has it passed on ECAS yet?
4. Have you been able to link application to your GC myCIC account?
5. Were you asked to submit an eIMM5669 yet? (Asked to upload once linked to myCIC account (ONLY if using new application kit).
6. When was your ECAS PR application listed as "in progress".

P.S. You can add in your timeline details (file received date, AOR1 date, Family class, visa office, file transferred date, upfront medical date, etc.) so that everyone can easily see your timeline. To do this, click "profile" in top right of screen, then on update forum profile on the left bar (under modify profile), and then add in the details of your progress.

how to count number of education .. I have done education till MCA.

secondary school 2
University - 6 (BCA+ MCA)

Hey, I just wrote down all years, including primary/preschool education. What you have seems correct.
