How does the idea about starting a whatsapp group sound like? I see there are 48 applicants on google doc. Share your thoughts? I am happy to volunteer.

Got an update today! About 11:15 this morning we got the Acknowledgement of Receipt email (Yeah! On a Saturday!)

AOR Email received February 4th

Message requesting 5669 upload - we provided it hard copy upfront so I'm guessing the message is automatic. We submitted via IRCC webform anyway.

Got some great news yesterday, AOR1 email received (stating a date of January 17th for some reason) and application linked successfully. Feels like it's really happening now!

They did say I was missing my IMM 5669 .. but I submitted it for my wife (applicant). Under the newer application package, does another one also have to be submitted for me?

I was able to sign in to CIC last night using my husbands UCI# he was given from when he applied for his old Canadian work permit. From that I was able to pull the application# to check my sponsorship application on CIC and then linked his application to ECAS.

Application was receievd Jan 23, 2017. Still haven't receievd AOR or sponsorship email.

Application status shows as "pending", review of eligibility is "not started" and review of medical results is showing as "in process" (we used old app so submitted w/ application) in ECAS.

Hi Guys, I just wanted to know if my wife and I need to open a joint bank account in India. I am a Canadian PR. Will it be a benefit?

Also, my wife has my name in her passport but her parental home address instead of mine. Will that be a problem? Do we need to have common Indian address in her all ID proofs? Her's is the parental address for Aadhar card and Passport.

My application reached Missisauga Jan 10th, haven't heard a single word since. Starting to wonder if they're sending it back for some reason...but went through the scannned copy I made before sending it off and can't find any mistakes or missing documents. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's just taking them a while and that I'll receive a message in the upcoming week saying the application is being processed...

Same here. Application received and signed by David on Jan 11. Nothing happened since then and I tried to link my account everyday.........but failed.

Can anyone tell me if we will receive any emails from them, what will be the "From" field show? Want to know how it will read so I will pay 500% attention to it (even though I already did). Thx.

I had the same thing. They received my application Dec 29. I received no emails to date. On January 20 I was finally able to get into ecas using my receipt number and I tried everyday. It said decision made under the sponsor and under principal applicant it said we received your application and medical results received. On January 27 it changed to in process under PA. Still I haven't recieved any emails and I am not able to link to mycic.

So more than likely you have received SA approval
