Hi... I was just looking for clarification on a couple of things.

If applying inland, I would have to change my current WP to a visitor visa to maintain status while we get things together - once the spousal sponsorship is sent and received would implied status ensue until the OWP is received or would I have to keep reapplying for visitor visas to maintain status?

If applying outland, I would stay in canada on a visitor visa as long as I could and then return to england to teach for a few months and then return to be with my wife again (allowing me to have some form of income whilst reducing the time apart) - would this affect the application in any way with me leaving and coming back?

Thanks in advance for any information

I received AOR1 today (18 day wait) with a request for my Schedule A!

Unfortunately it came right as I am leaving for a trip, and I won't be able to send until I return next week... But I'm so excited that the process is in motion!! Today I told a salesperson, "I can't sign up for a yearlong subscription, I'm probably moving out of the country within 12 months," which was the best feeling ever. ;D

Hi there,
Was the AOr sent to Principal Applicant's email or Sponsor's email?

Thanks

Regarding the spreadsheet guys,
I colour coded everyones name according to where they are in their application.
Can you guys also keep up to date with this with your own names from now on?
It's just easier to see where everyone is :)

Please and thanks!

Hello everybody,

Just posting my details so others can use them for reference purposes. I used the old application package - here's the details;

Application Sent: 01/17/2017
Application Received: 01/18/2017
Visa Office: Mississauga
Current Processing Time for VO: 12 months
PA Country: Pakistan
AOR1 Date: 01/24/2017

Still unable to link application through account - tried multiple times. Actually got two accounts locked for 24 hours by trying more than 5 times- mine and my wife's lol. Added my information on spreadsheet.

My application now says open and "In Progress"
Medicals Passed
Documents Provided
No Background Needed at this time
No Decision Made at this time.

I heard it says in the "In Progress" status for the entire duration of the PR application until a decision is made. I doubt I'll see anymore updates on the CIC website anytime soon. Here's to hoping for a swift application process. I already included my police certificate with the original paper application so I just had to upload my schedule A online, other than that we should be done within 4-6 months, I'm HOPING. We are USA and Canada applicants.

Maybe I can help,
I'm the sponsor, when I got AOR1, my partner (PA) actually received it in his e-mail -_-

they requested Schedule A but not your police certificates yet? I thought they request those together?

Sorry, I should have been more clear! You're correct, they requested Schedule A and police certificates together.

I acquired assistance from a legal representative and AOR1 was sent to him.

I made a January Spreadsheet!

Don't forget guys to add in your info!
Copy and paste the link into your signature box and share :D

Thanks! This is a great tool for people to connect and get less anxious as they wait, lol!

Finally registered on here after also lurking around for a few days, lol ;D. The spreadsheet had me! It's definitely a helpful tool to understand where you stand in the process compared to everyone else. Makes you feel less alone--it's cheesy but it's true!
I'm sponsoring my husband from Pakistan. I'm SO SO glad the new government has reduced the processing times. It was insanely long before.

Hello all, i hope you're doing well...

Some update on my side. My wife (sponsor, canadian citizen, hotmail address) just received the AOR on her e-mail. While on my side (principal applicant, french citizen, gmail address), i didn't receive anything, yet...
