Hi, How long it takes to get initial reply on your citizenship application, I submited my application in March 2017 but due to a fmaily member English proficency requirement it was returned with in 15 days. I re-submitted it on May 18, 2017, No reply yet. when I expect to get their reply??

What was your family member's English requirement initially submitted?
Thanks

I submitted my IELTS I did for immigration back in 2009, along a certificate copy I did in Canada.. Kids' school enrollment form worked my wife's unofficial transcript from University of Alberta was not accepted. so we have to manage official one year-2 term transcript and re-submitted our application on 18 May but no AOR yet. As my and kids application were considered complete but returned due to my wife's Language requirement. hoping they will accept them now.

One last thing is throwing me off here, and I hope someone can advise please.

My wife's Surname changed from "Jane Doe" to "Jane Rock" . She has an updated PR Card which has her new names "Jane Rock" but her confirmation of PR card still has her former name, "Jane Doe".

Now I am confused her she should complete the sections of the application form? What should she put on question 3.A knowing that her two immigration documents have two different surnames?

Question 3. A – Name as shown on Immigration Documents
Last Name
Given names

Question 3. B - Your current Name if different from above
Last Name
Given names

Thanks for your help

Good Morning everyone.

i got my test invite...FINALLY!!!!

  1. We sent you a notice on June 19, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 18, 2017 at 7:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

I cant access the spreadsheet at work, can someone update it for me....also can someone post the links of practice test websites here so i can use them and start studying....

Also peeps who passed....any tips?

January 2017 applicants' should post "timeline" of their applications updates like sent date, received date, invite date, outh date on their profile to help know average wait time.

Seems like none of the members who are planning to apply in January cares about "intent to reside" clause? I know of a few people who are eligible to apply for citizenship but haven't applied yet on purpose. Only because they are waiting for Bill C-6 to get approved first so that under the new rules they don't have to show intention to continue to reside in Canada once citizenship has been granted.

Any thoughts or comments, please?

Intent to reside won't affect anyone applied under c24, intent to reside is ridiculous clause because there are hundred of thousand of born Canadians living in Florida, Arizona, Cali, central America and Europe particular UK isles.

Hi, we actually have a google sheet with all those dates for useful information for anyone.

Hey, Here are the online reviewers which are quite similar to the questions, but not entirely the same. Do not focus on memorizing the names (just the most important people). Just practice the online exams probably a number of times, and you should be alright, and they are mobile friendly too, so you can practice anywhere. The trick is, read the handbook twice and start doing the exams. DO NOT do the practice exam without reading the handbook. :)

Hope this helps and best of luck.

Hello everyone

This question is for people who have already appeared for their tests.

The letter or the test invite I got today says that I have to bring certain stuff with me....I'm a little confused about some of it.....if you can help me that'll be great. I'm confused about this one step

All your original documents that support my application (as listed in document checklist)

I'm assuming they don't need a copy of the app lol
Record of landing I'll have my original and I can bring that
Pr card copy I can do

For language evidence I submitted a copy of my uoft degree and original sealed transcript...do I need to order and bring another transcript? Also my original degree is in India......I dunno what to do here

Passport copy I can do

I'm assuming I don't need two more photos lol

Do I need to fill out the online calculator again and bring it?

Sorry for the long post lol but I need to have my ocd satisfied lol..

Thank you in advance
