Hi everyone,

I am eligible to apply for Citizenship Application, but my wife gets eligible on February 15, since she travelled abroad a couple of times ?
My kids (both under 12 years) also have fewer days but since they are minor, I think they can apply with me, since I am the principal applicant.

What do you Advice? Should I wait and apply together to avoid the hassle of two test dates and two oath Ceremonies?

Or should I go ahead and do It myself?

Very confused......

Congrats... but by agreeing to "intent to reside" clause in the application, are you not limiting your opportunities to relocate to other countries in case of international assignments and/or jobs? I'm definitely not saying that we all must move out of Canada after getting citizenship, but being a professional, you keep looking for better opportunities and want to have the freedom to relocate in case you are able to secure them. As I said earlier, I know of a few people who are eligible to apply for citizenship, but they are on purpose not applying and waiting for bill C-6 to approve so that they don't have to show intention to continue living in Canada if granted citizenship.

Your comments/thoughts, please?

I am looking for people to join my work group on citizenship application. please email me at amsterdada@yahoo.com

Question: 10 in the citizenship application form says "if granted citizenship"... means it applies after citizenship has been granted. See below.

10. INTENTION

I intend, if granted citizenship,

- to continue to reside in Canada;
- to enter into, or continue in, employment outside Canada in or with the Canadian Armed Forces, the federal public administration or the public service of a province, otherwise than as a locally engaged person; or
- to reside with my spouse or common-law partner, or parent, who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident and is employed outside Canada in or with the Canadian Armed Forces, the federal public administration or the public service of a province, otherwise than as a locally engaged person.

Hi Guys. I'm applying too. For Photo, do I need to print my name and date of birth behind the photo?

Thanks.
Only name would suffice. But don't forget to get stamped mentioning the date and address of the place on the back of each photo.
