They did not request for anything except for the receipt of RPRF

Any news from January MVO applicants?

I'm hearing November applicants, haven't heard of December yet though.

I am a January applicant and just heard from the Manila visa office and they are requesting additional proof that my common law partner and I live together... we have already sent in joint bank accounts, joint lease, letter from landlord, and all of that... this scares me!

We are running out of ideas of what else we could send in to prove we lived together! Also, we lived together in Korea and are now in Canada ... it will be really hard trying to get a hold of our past Korean Landlords. Im really stressed!

Has any other common law application gotten this request?

How did that request come in? Was it an email specifically asking for more proof?

Yepp, they sent an email saying this

"You must submit the following information/documents ONLY IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY
SUBMITTED THEM WITH YOUR APPLICATION:
 Additional documents between you and sponsor; proof that you cohabitate from 01 November
2014 to 15 January 2016 continuously (ie. Billing statement for one year showing your and your
sponsor’s name and address).
To ensure the timely processing of your application, the required information/documents must be
provided to us within THIRTY (30) days of the date of this letter.
Permanent Resident Unit
Embassy of Canada, Manila"

I have already sent A LOT of proof but maybe they want more?

It says "ONLY IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY
SUBMITTED THEM WITH YOUR APPLICATION"

But i dont know why they would send this email if they didnt want more?

I agree, it could be somewhat confusing, since it's a specific request for something in particular, but then with that mention of if you didn't already submit proof, which you did.

Couple of suggestions off the top of my head: letters from friends/family saying they are aware you lived together, utilities bills (both showing you have the same address)?

Just to add, maybe if you send them the first and last utilities bills showing both of you having the same address from 2014 and 2016, i.e. showing that you've both been at the same address for that entire time?

Thanks for the input!
yea I think we will try something like that! we sent in all of our utility bills already but couldnt get the first month (i guess I lost it so there were a couple of months missing)..so maybe that is why? I will get him to try to contact our Korean landlord, building manager, and maybe the utility companies! As well as getting some more family and friends to write saying that they were aware we were living together that is a good idea

It is just such a crappy feeling knowing that our relationship is 100% legit but they are questioning it/wanting more proof of cohabitation! I guess I knew going into it that a common law application is much more difficult !

Question, does your ecas have a 4th line showing they've sent you a request for extra documentation?

;D hey guys,

one question. does your sponsor received anything after they started processing his application as sponsor? its just we applied last Jan and his sponsorship process started Feb, after that nothing...

thanks
