got passport request today

i have one query

My wife has visitor visa and she is planning to come next week on visitor visa and then from here we will send the passport to ottawa for stamping. Is it ok to do that??

That's exactly what it means! Member of Parliament. The local MP office for my riding is who helped me.

Hello,

I applied my file on January 22nd and it was approved as a sponsor approval in March. It was recieved and acknowledged by Delhi Office on 23 March.
I got my status change to " Decision Made" and got a passport request from Delhi office as well.

So, is my file already completed?
Passport request and Decision made could be a rejection as well?
How long will the passport will be held in Delhi office if its a approval?
Could someone please help me out ? It's urgent for me to know.

Firstly - SMILE ;D

Just send your passport through VFS. There is no scope of rejection now. They call for passport only to stamp your PR Visa.

You should receive your stamped passport and COPR within a week after submission.

I checked DM on 9 May 2016 and the passport request also came in on 9 May 2016.
DM doesn't have a date specified for it on my application stats check page.

One more question-- I am thinking of calling my wife in July after i make arrangements for residence and other stuff. Is it safe or i should call her ASAP?

What do you mean by "calling your wife"? Isn't your wife the one who sponsored you for PR? Isn't she already in Canada?

No. I am the sponsor, one who is in Canada and my wife is applicant.

How do you find out who your local MP would be?

It would be based on your address in Canada, you'd check to find out your riding boundaries by address, then it should help locate your MP on the parliament site.
