Hi anyone here on the same boat with me? who haven't done upfront medical?

Same here..Hubby didn't do an upfront. Do you happen to know if he can still do an upfront and just send it to CEM as a case enquiry or he has to wait for the medical request?

Do you mind telling me what your plan is about your medical? Thanks

Sponsor side is in process and PA is still application received.
I just got curious cause when I was reading the SA letter,the bottom part under "Requirement for Medical Examination"it actually said;

"If your sponsored relative(s) has (have)not already done so,your relative(s) must provide an original Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B UPFRONT) signed by a Panel Physician or an E-Medical Upfront Medical Notification information sheet. Your relative(s) must complete the medical examination and, once completed, email the information directly to the visa office noted above using the "case-specific" enquiries form along with this letter. If you have not already submitted a medical, your application has been transferred to the visa office noting this deficiency. Your relative must forward medical information directly to the visa office to allow continued processing of his/her application.Failure to do so will result in delays and possible refusal of your relative's application".

What does that paragraph mean? Does he have to do the upfront and file a case enquiry or just wait for a request?
Please, anyone help. I'm just so confused:-(
The applicant now has to submit medical information to the VO.

That’s what it means.

The whole paragraph means if there's no upfront medical, the files will still be forwarded to the VO but then the applicant has to sumit medical to the VO.

Yeah that is a possibility. I never received my AOR2... But I guess not everyone receives one. I guess all we can do is really sit back and wait! I applied January 8th, hoping to have my hubby in Canada by August!!! It isn't wrong to wish right? Hahaha

We have the same Timeline. I'm hoping that too by August we have VOH.

Any other January applicants get SA? Seems some get it in a few days and other are waiting upwards of two weeks..

We haven't received SA yet.. but we did just get AOR on March 10th (had a set back of a missing form).

I have a little question.. I was able to log into ecas with my UCI and there's info there - yay! :) Do you think it's a big deal that under my address they don't list my country (Germany)? And they left a letter of my boyfriend's middle name (Alexande instead of Alexander)? Do you think these little mistakes will get sorted out over time? I feel like they are too minor to contact CIC about already. ::) Thoughts?

I'm not really sure, they also instead of 'PO Box' for mine, just wrote 'Box'..

Can anyone else jump in? Do they use these mailing addresses for anything?

:P really? These errors are so minor and straight forward, they should notice it - I feel like (and hope) it was just a silly typing error. One can hope!?

You can tell the physician that you need a medical for Canada, they will know what you need. Afterwards you can email the paper the physician gives you to cic, using your UCI and name in the subject line. If you know that your visa office has a quick processing time, I would suggest sending the medical as soon as possible, otherwise it could cause delays. If it is about to expire, you can always try to request they extend the medical for you.

Thanks for answering my question but in your opinion what would be better ? i am the PA would it be more convenient for me to wait for the meds request rather than going to have an upfront medical since we already filed our application without it
Would it be better to wait for the SA first and for meds request?
Thanks again
