Thanks..MNM2015 said:I hope yours gets updated soon! Please keep me posted.
My VO is Dar Es Salaam which is one of the newest VOs but also seems to be very very slow unfortunately. I think I am in for a long wait now before I hear anything else. There is hardly anyone on this forum going through my VO so very hard to get a gauge for expected timeline.
If anyone else is going through Dar please let me know. I'd love to connect and share our progress.
First of all congratulations for SA!BrettyMac said:Yayyy!! Received SA today! What a relief! ;D
Question - We're obviously applying Outland, we live in Germany, my partner is German.. so why has his case been forwarded to Ottawa and not Vienna!? Anyone heard of this before? Seems odd... unless Vienna is just overwhelmed with refugee applicants right now?
Letter says:
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in CPC-Ottawa for further processing. This visa office was selected based on your relative’s country of nationality and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
Thank you!Shantaveli said:First of all congratulations for SA!
May I ask you if CIC gave you a reason based on your spouse's country of nationality or yours?
Thanks.
Fantastic! Congrats! Looks like we are now at CPC-Ottawa too - so fingers crossed for a quick speed like yours!ayrazar said:Hey guys.

That's what I've heard, too. Ottawa is one of the fastest.BrettyMac said:Thank you!
It was based on my spouse's (German). I've heard on another thread that some Vienna applicants have been being transferred to Ottawa in the last few months, though so sounds like it's (hopefully) not a mistake.
That could be, that also crossed our minds! As far as I know, Germany is a visa exempt country.Shantaveli said:That's what I've heard, too. Ottawa is one of the fastest.
My spouse's VO is Vienna but he's needs a visa. I was thinking maybe the decision is connected with applicants coming from visa exempt countries.
I wish you best of luck.

Does this mean they've received our app? We didn't get AOR2, so I assume this is the equivalent?
Yes it's the same! Hoping for a quick process until DM!Stephan reily said:hey our ecas was updated as well to PA status to In process no AOR2 yet
