Hello there,
I am trying to join this group but not able "decision made" on ECAS. I applied for my husband's immigration in March 2014. He lives in US on HIB visa. I am a Canadian citizen. Last week his application status went from application received to decision made. We are wondering what will be the next steps. Can he still be asked for interview or they will ask for his passport or else? Please reply. Thanks in advance

the application was received in march 2014 and a decision has been made on the applicant's application?

Congratulations boomlet! I updated the sheet.
We are getting good news almost everyday, that looks good for January applicants. ;D

Divine Favour from the Accra thread (also on January spreadsheet) had passport request 5/15 and landed in Canada 7/2. Interview was waived. Thought we could update the info on our January spreadsheet too. :)

Hello,

I got an email from Manila Immigration today! (first I've heard from then, since Mississauga granting me sponsorship for my wife in February!)

They requested some additional information:

a.) Appendix A (I already did this form but they are asking for it again?)
b.) My Intent to live in Canada (I am sponsoring my wife, Korean) Since I first applied, I've booked tickets home & received a job - so I'll just included those 2 new things + the old info I sent to them - that should be good, yeah?

From other's experience, CEM is always requesting Appendix A (which is slightly different from the Appendix A in application) with PPR. I guess since you are from passport exempt country, this can be considered as PPR. Did they ask for photocopy of biopage?

Hi there Edgehead. Cool. No they didn't request anything from my passport at all. Although, I did provide my passport photo page photocopy in my application (even though it wasn't requested) So maybe that helped a bit.

Thanks for your message!

:) yes im bound to quebec,, can i ask? CEM ask you also to send the csq? did u send only a photocopy or original csq? sorry if i ask u a lot of question

Hey jolyn, visa office only requested me to send them within 45 days my original passport and fully completed appendix a. They didn't ask for a copy of my csq. Though when I received my approved csq (which was prior to my PPR), my representative sent them a photocopy of it.

No need to be sorry about, am happy to share what I know :)

Hi I'm an f-1 student ( currently on OPT) in the USA from Ghana
My husband sent our application on 28th November last year
We got AOR on 2/18/14 that the application was received on 1/20/14 ( so I guess that makes us January applicants)
We received request for my medicals on 2/21/14 which I sent right away
My husband got eligibility letter 3/24/14 since then we haven't heard anything
We also recently found out that we did not do the right police certificate I.E. we only did a state criminal record instead of the FBI certificate and also ommitted police report from Ghana. I got both done. Received my FBI report but still waiting on the police report from Ghana, should I wait till CIC request for these or should I just send them? Also does anybody know if my aplication will be processed in Ottawa like the letter said or will they forward it to New York since I picked that as my embassy? Please hope someone can help me with these questions. ( Kindly add me on the spreadsheet) Thank you

Welcome to the January applicants, I added you to our spreadsheet! I would probably send the police reports to the Visa Office before the request, because otherwise it might cause a long delay in your process when they request them from you. The applications from USA are processed in Ottawa and they send the applications to LA or NY only if applications have some significant red flags which require more scrutiny. Ottawa processes the applications rather fast, we have already 3 on this spreadsheet that received their COPR.

Posted this on the Manila English speakers thread already, but thought I would let my JAN '14 peeps know as well ... we got our PPR today! So happy obviously.

The email came with the Appendix A & the Personal History forms. They say in the email "Fully Completed Appendix A (attached) for you and each of your family members, whether accompanying you to Canada or not. Passport details are not required for any family member who is not accompanying you to Canada."

Does this mean we also include the family members who are listed in sections A and C of IMM5406 (Additional Family Information), i.e. PARENTS and BROTHERS & SISTERS? We are only sending passports for my wife (principal applicant) and her dependent son who will travel with her, that is clear.

For the Personal History they are going back a few more years for activity & addresses, my wife will have some digging to do!

Finally, I will be transferring cities for work right about the time that they will hopefully arrive in Canada .... should we include a note in the package we send to the embassy (with the passports) about this move, or just contact the call centre in Canada about it?

Thanks in advance for all input!

Actually, rereading the Appendix A it appears it is strictly for applicant & child(ren), so safe to say disregard my question about listing extended family members?
