I think you should be posting on the Foreign Workers section of the forum, since your issue is regarding a temporary work permit. This section is for Family Class Sponsorship.

Thank you SenoritaBella, MrsJamie, Aniabella! :D
I'm very surprised at the timeline, I was banking on a longer process, he's got so much stuff to do in the States still! :P

Since some of you have ordered GCMS notes already, I would like to ask something. How long did it take for you to get your notes? We ordered ours 31 days ago and are just wondering if it's exactly 30 days of ordering or is it just a rough estimation?

We're planning to buy our flight tickets as soon as we get our notes, just to make sure there isn't any big bumps on the road ahead regarding our PR application.

Here is my timeline for the GCMS notes. I ordered on May 1st and I received by email on June 2nd. The due date was June 2nd according to the notes.
Just out of curiosity, how do you plan to buy you flight tickets if you don't know the date when the visa will be issued? I would also like to buy my tickets in advance since I know that the sooner you buy, the cheaper it gets so I'm open to any ideas.

Mine has taken 30 days, 31 or even 60(though for the 60 days, they sent me an email to let say it will take longer). When you applied for the notes, there would have been a "request #". Reply to that email with the "request #" in the subject line, and ask for update. They will respond within an hour or so and you should have the notes. This is what I did.

Well my husband has to be in Canada by the end of August, so we don't really have a choice but to leave then. Since I'm from visa exempt country, I won't have problem entering as a visitor. If all goes well, I will get my COPR latest in September-October and if not, I can always either extend my visit or come back here to wait. I've already done that being separated from my husband for months and months, so I will do anything to avoid that from happening again.

Wow thank you for this hint! We'll try it tomorrow, noticed on the e-mail that the 30 days count starts from the first bank day and we had ordered our notes on a Saturday. So actually our 30 days from ordering is only tomorrow.

Second, quick question : Have you paid the 490$ permanent resident fee upfront with your application or will you pay it now that you have received the OK ?

Thank you
