Agreed! It's still early in the day - not even lunch time in Ontario!

I was just gonna message you to see if you heard anything. No SA here either. I guess our apps arrived on a crappy day. :(

I think our day was cursed :( I just hope the rest of our application goes extra fast to make up for this!

OK, didn't want to do it but looks like I have to fret on here about not getting my AOR. I think someone budded in front of me after Edgehead got his?! LOL (Appears our apps arrived same day at CPC Missy.) Or maybe they're going to do the AOR-SA combo?! OK, fretting complete, bring it on Missy office....!

Well I never even got an AOR, just SA straight in the e-mail.

Hey so I just got a pretty good call centre lady, she said the time frames may be a bit delayed due to the number of applications they've received. I've heard that inland applications have been forwarded from Vegreville to Mississauga so I think that's causing the delay. She assured me my application is complete and in process but it is just a bit delayed.

Yes Aniabella, I've seen that elsewhere on this site too. It actually makes sense to do it like that imo, and I'd be just fine with it too.

Thanks for the update Zarilenth. Glad you got a nice "CCL", the last one I got limited me to ONE question. First, and hopefully last, time that I got a sourpuss on the phone there. So Vegreville is overloaded? That doesn't help us much in the scheme of things but what can ya do eh?

Dear ALL,

I am jumping into this January group.
My sponsorship to my outland wife completed on Feb 3rd and I assume they re-directed application to Beijing Office.
my silly question is that (just to make sure I am not in a situation of sit here waiting for nothing): Do we need to do anything in terms of this "re-direct to Beijing Office" - so called second stage?
mississauga office physically ship our application (a big box of application 4kg) to Beijing? and we dont need to do anyting but just wait, correct?

another thing is, I thought there should be a website from Beijing Office that we can check the status? (heard parents application use to be step 1 to 13 or something, very detail, that we can check), not sure about this spouse application. It will be great if there is such website other than CIC.gc.ca.

Since re-direct to Beijing, it had been a month, anyone have more experince, a normal case will take how long? or even if someone in similar timeline already been asked for passport? or granted visa?

greatly appreciated

thanks

Jimmy and Kitty

Congrats, huertdiaz! What is CSQ? Your app seems to be coming along very quickly :D

CSQ = Certificat de Selection au Quebec (Quebec selection certificate). This is required for sponsors/sponsored spouses who reside (or intend to reside) in Quebec.

Here goes another Beijing application, we are on the same boat. As far as I know, CPC-M will forward your application to Beijing after stage 1 approval (at no additional cost to you :D, even though your app weighs like 4kg LOL, I don't think my package even weighs more than 1kg).

I don't think there are other places where you can check your app status (other than our favorite ECAS). Good luck

Ah, thank you :) If I plan on moving to Quebec later in life with my husband, would I have to apply for that?

As far as I know, no you don't need. Once you both are in Canada, you are free to go wherever you want within the country.
