Ah, thank you If I plan on moving to Quebec later in life with my husband, would I have to apply for that?

It's only needed if you are going from another country directly to Quebec and it costs $250.00. Once you are in Canada you are free to move around the country, but if your sponsor lives in Quebec (as I do) you have no choice. Quebec has the right to refuse any prospective immigrant, although the rules for spousal applications don't give them much room to refuse anyone.

Congrats Edgehead on your SA! Hope the rest of the process goes as quickly for you too! That SA came pretty quickly after your AOR, so hopefully they'll process the other "due-fors" likewise & soon. What is the MICC, is that a Quebec thing?

Sorry I don't have anymore updates from CIC. I only received an email with UCI and application number on 21 February 2014 but I not sure if you guys call it an AOR. On e-CAS, just saids "We received your application to sponsor xxx on January 22, 2014." and "We received xxx's application for permanent residence on January 22, 2014." Anyway, thanks for keeping me in the spreadsheet and I'll update you as soon as I have more feedback from CIC, if ever. Good luck to everyone, don't lose hope.

MICC stands for Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communeautés Culturelles. Its the Quebec department responsible for immigration in the province and the one delivering the CSQ (Certificat de sélection du Quebec). It is required to deal with them if one intend to land in Quebec.

@ Aniabella: Yeah Im now 269$ poorer. It really sucks and I feel its unfair for us compared to the rest of Canada. I considered processing in Ontario just because of that.

@yosumi: It is indeed AOR if you already got your UCI. I will update the spreadsheet. Maybe you will receive your SA by mail. Thanks for giving update.

CSQ = Certificat de Selection au Quebec (Quebec selection certificate). This is required for sponsors/sponsored spouses who reside (or intend to reside) in Quebec.

Looks like it, except Blueangel but I don't think she's active on the forums anymore.. I didn't really receive a real AOR, just a email after I called wondering why I hadn't received word about my application. Really nervous about why I haven't received SA yet!

Do you have "decision made" on ecas yet? If so, then they may have sent it through snail mail. Otherwise, I would get in touch with the call centre this week, to check. I have heard of cases where the AOR and SA came together by mail.

I can't seem to log into ecas! When I called the first time they gave me an 8 digit number that they later told me (when I called again) was my UCI. But every time I try, it says it cannot validate me... so I've really got no clue what's going on
I called on Monday, and all they said was that my application is 'in process'.

I can't log in either. I get the "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided." Getting very annoyed.
