Here is my timeline

application sent -- 19th january 2014
processing started -- 15 march 2014
test date -- 17 july 2014
oath ceremony -- 25 july 2014

I checked with CIC yesterday and my file is still at the Sydney office. Seniors any idea what could be delaying transfer to local office???

Received: Jan 9, 2014.
In Process: Mar 6, 2014
Received line disappeared: May 12, 2014

On another note my sister applied in March. Her process started in April and she had her test yesterday (Jul 29) and has been invited for her oath Aug 7.

This is becoming very annoying. My file was transferred to the local office 2 weeks ago. I wonder how much longer I would have to wait before a test date is handed down. My application was received on January 16, and the last activity was an RCMP/CSIS check (to see if I am a criminal or a terrorist) on June 23. Nothing happened after that, or so it seemed.

Anyway, as long as the test is scheduled outside of the August 19 to September 8 zone, I should be OK. If it is scheduled in that timeframe, I am afraid that a rescheduling will take me to the end of this calendar year, some time in December.

line disappear: sometime mid to end of may.

File is still sitting at Sydney. I'm not sure what the reason is for these delays .... its really not a proper Que is it when people from later months are done with their ceremonies :\.

Wondering if country of origin may be a reason for causing the delay?

Maidentower... Country of origin could be a possibility. Did you travel a lot after you landed. I had 3 prolonged absences of 2 months or more between July 2011 & April 2012. I'm thinking that could also be a cause.

No very few travels ... for work and maybe 2 vacations but never longer than a week or two... in total probably 5.

Will just have to be patient :-X

You were the one whising my file to be lost in the meanders of CIC 's system (mine is at local office for a month now, everything is fine Just waiting for test invitation)

hahahahah, doesn't really bother me how long it takes, bud. I'm not the impatient one here.

Ps. My file is at the local office as well, eh. Anyway, my bet is that you'll be keeping me company for as long as my file takes, anyway.
