I'd say it all looks good Kiri, it even mentions passport request sent....

I never got one ...

Hello, I hope everyone is getting along without any snags. We landed in Canada on July 30th. It was quite simple and our only surprise was that he asked to see our marriage certificate, but we did have it on us. We had to pay a small inspection fee for our dog and that was it. We sent our items as goods to follow and so we went to the customs office on a separate day to clear our goods. So far it has been AMAZING being back in Canada. People SMILE at you, the food is SENSATIONAL and there's space, lots of it.

We are still waiting on the PR Card itself. Anyone else receive theirs in the same timeframe? Is it too early to chase it it up. We are at the five week mark.

Thanks!

sctv - congrats!

As for the PR card - the average wait seems to be ~70 days. So you are still very early in the process.

You lucky people! LOL Congrats to everyone! I hope they speed up with inland applications. The wait is driving us nuts! LOL ;) And again congrats!

FYI, you can't get healthcare or drivers license until you have the actual PR card. The COPR isn't enough. They will not issue it. We tried.

I'm sorry but we wouldn't be able to advise you on this. This is Family Class Sponsorship forum and only those who are applying for Permanent Residence under the Family Class are in this thread so I'm not sure we could be able to be of assistance.

Lucky you! We are both self-employed so that isn't an option for us.

When I spoke to the guys at MSP, they said they need all correspondence with CIC to prove I had an application in process, a copy of my marriage certificate and any other relevant visa paperwork. Even if it wasn't with my husband's work, I was told I was still eligible to get the coverage and my BC Care Card...

Got PPR this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was long 8 months.... ;) :'( ;D :o :P ??? :)
I want to thank everyone here for being part of it with me and for helping me every time I needed. I wish a speedy visa to all of you still waiting.
I'll post again when I get my passport back.

Thanks for the wishes!!

Guys, a cheer up! It seems the flux of student/tourism visas is done. Today another friend got PPR also from the same office, and plus another friend got ppr yesterday! They are not part of our forum or spreadsheet here, but are January applicant's as well from Brazil.
Cheer up, time is coming! ;D

E-Cas changed to "In Process" today ;D
