NDVO asks for PP near the beginning. They hold it for a long time. Very annoying if you need to travel.

Not sure why that was, but her application is for Quebec which happens to have an extra step (the CSQ-Quebec if I am not mistaken). If it makes you feel better, another friend of mine, January applicant found out her application is already at the SPVO awaiting in line to be assessed. So cheer up!

We mailed off our inland application on February 9th and on the 20th we got an email saying they received it - is that what you call AOR?

But when I look at others and their AOR's then it's usually taking all between a month to four? How come we got ours so fast?

It's luck of the draw. A bunch of the January 2013 Outland applications were far above the average times too.

Hey all. We sent our common law outland application and they recieved it on January 11th. At this point all I can tell is that a Decision is made for permanent residency for my boyfriend. Where is everyone else at?

Looks like you are WAY ahead of all of us. I'm curious to know where your VO is? Seems like an awfull quick timeline ! Lol. I think all of us January applicants are still waiting for a word from our VO's. We only have stage AOR's and personally I am looking at a 10 month process. Congrats on having yours done in 2-3 months!

Ps. Are u sure the decision made is for your permanent residency and not the sponsorship approval?

Sponsor Application Status

So they recieved the application on Jan 11th
They started processing on Jan 30th
On Jan 30th they sent me an email regarding application (and I was approved as my boyfriends sponsor)

This is where they then sent our application to the Canadian Embassy in Paris (as my boyfriend in Belgian so that is where we go through and we are applying as outland)



Permanent Resident Application Status

It then states that they started processing his application on March 18th
Then medical results were recieved
Then it says that a decision has been made concerning my boyfriend and the office will contact him....

This last part we noticed a couple of weeks ago and no word from the office...I was just not sure what this meant....hoping someone else does!! 8)

I believe it does mean your process is done with. Let's hope it's good news! The average processing time for Paris is 9 months so all I can say us WOW! You're lucky you don't have to go through 9 months of not knowing what is happening. I believe it takes about 2-3 weeks for the actual letter to get to the applicants address.
