AOR is acknowledgment of receipt. Sometimes, the sponsor gets a letter or email from CIC saying "We got our package." That's pretty much it!

Some people never get AOR. Since you have your Stage 1 approval, you probably will never get it. You may get AOR from your visa office in Brazil, but it doesn't seem that is very common among the VOs.

Yes indeed is time to wait, but I've been hearing good news from my fellow Brazilian applicants. It seems the VO in Sao Paulo is finishing the analysis in 2 or 3 months after the sponsor's approval.
So I hope to be getting on board on my flight to Canada in July at the latest! ;D

Updated the spreadsheet today. NDVO asks for PP near the beginning of the process - but this means we have someone in process! Yay!

A friend of mine also from Brazil called Sao Paulo's VO today and they informed her they are right now assessing the applications filled in the end of November. So for us here, 2 more months at least until they start on ours.

Why is it that Delhi Office is so fast? Do they request passports without a decision made? :

I just emailed my VO to ask if my application has arrived yet. I've heard from a friend, also a January applicant , her application was dispatched from CPC-Mississauga February 14th and It was still in transit this week. They informed her they use a diplomatic mail and it can take months!

Ahhhh!! Don't say that. My file got transferred feb 19 and I haven't heard from my VO.

Hope they have it lol
