Btw, does your mailing address show in the ecas of the permanent resident application?

Thanks Amoss,

No, after I click the link, no any address there except the standard sentence, no medical record sentence either. By the way, how did you ask call centre in Canada? I called Call Centre, they said they couldn't track anything any more after our case got sponsorship approval, I have to ask Buffalo. Well, I email Buffalo, to ask if they received our application as eCAS didn't show medical record received... they haven't responded me yet.

Yeah, I can't be sure.. but I think the address only appeared about a week or 2 ago. Something looks different anyway.

After I had written to Buffalo and they wrote "LA" back, I called CIC-M and said exactly that, that Buffalo told me LA, all the agent did was confirm that it was transferred to LA and told me the date (May 8th). He said he couldn't tell me anything else.

After we found out about the closure of the Buffalo office, I wrote to Ottawa (the pilot e-mail address provided) and asked if our file was there now (instead of LA) and they never responded either. Frustrating for sure. I guess now more than ever they are less inclined to respond to e-mails they deem as unnecessary. :(

Sorry you haven't got any new info, but maybe it helps to know others are in the same boat. It will be our turn one day

Congrates first of all...i just want to ask you one thing. Did u receive email when your decision has been made? Or just you can chech it online. When your status shows "in process"?

I have a question. I have checked online and it says that: you address is (and gives the address of the applicant) when you press on link it goes to different screen and says Your file received on ... and Medical received on... and nothing else.

Can you please tell me what does it mean? Why they show my address on the first page when I login? Also I will be flying to Canada in the middle of July, can I stay here and receive my permanent visa here inland or I have to go back.

Unless you have done the CSQ ( certificate of selection of quebec) no you can't quebec has an extra step.
www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca Everyone who is planning on residing in quebec must complete this step.

Generally, the holder of a Canada Immigration Visa may enter Canada at any port of entry without difficulty.

However, if you first enter Canada at a port of entry in the Province of Quebec, you must have been accepted by Quebec and have a valid Quebec Certificate of Selection or be prepared to document your clear intention to reside in a province other than Quebec.

If you are not residing in quebec you must proove that you will be living in another province.

Hope this could help,

Cgagnon

Help!!

Hi All.

My wife filed our case on January 19, 2012 at CHC in Misissagua. She was approved on April 13, 2012 and I also recieved a letter on April 20, 2012 to send in my Passport in to New Delhi . I am currently on a student Visa in London England where i have been studying for past year. Our case is getting processed in new Delhi. I sent my passport in on April 23, 2012. Today, i recieved a letter stating i have an interview on July 24, 2012. I emailed CHC in delhi asking for my passport, and my wife also called the CHC in misissagua. My wife and myself already had plans to go to india on July 11, 2012, so she will be with me. Im just asking for any suggestions on what to do. Should i be worried?

Additional Information:

My wife and myself are both only 19. We are of Hindu religion. We had a court marriage in Scotland this past decemeber. My wifes older sister is married to my older brother, so both sisters are married within the same family. We have known eachother for 3 years now. i tried 2 times for canadian student visa, so i could be closer to her but got rejected both time:(.. My Wife works for the Government of Manitoba, department of justice, and she just bought a house in Canada. Our case is quite strong. We sent approx. 200 pictures with all family members, We sent phone bills and chat logs.

hi ankit
sorry to hear about your interview, you have done a big mistake by sending passport over boarder. ND will never send your passport to UK, you should ask them to return your passport to Indian address or you can send any of your relative to CHC-ND to request your passport back on your behalf. in meantime you should apply for GCMS notes to get information about reason for interview so you can prepare well and collect some supporting docs. we have almost same timeline and we also got interview for July 31. i think you should spend some time together if possible to get ready before interview. i have sent you an PM with some general interview questions. hope everything goes well
good luck :)

Hi,

Thanks so much for reply,

My father is living in India, so i have sent New delhi CHC an email, asking them to mail to my indian address, Also, my wife is coming to london next week, and we have flights to travel to Delhi on July 11, 2012 already booked. We will be attending the interview together. My wife is a canadian born Citizen, and i think the only reason they are interviewing is because of our age as we are both only 19. And of course we can meet up :).

GCMS notes?

What are GCMS notes? And how do you apply for them?
