Hi,

Is there anyone out there, who has not sent their Passport when requested; as he/she is outside their home country?

I could int send my Passport as a live and work outside India. As its illeagal to send Passport by Post. So I requested the New Delhi Visa Office for permission to submitting my passport at the final review stage. And on 6th May I received an email from New Delhi Visa Office, that they have accepted my request of submitting my passport at the final review stage.

Its been a month now. I have not heard anything from them. Anyone out there similar as my situation??

even for me its about 50 days after ppr request but still no change in status, no communication with vo after ppr
but all we can do is wait dear nothing else.

Hi all. A small update: Ecas now says "in process" as of May 29.

Yay, some progress....Now I wonder where it actually is....still don't know which visa office is processing it!

yaaaay that's good news; at the end it does not matter who's working the important is that they r u'll know which vo when u'll get the pr letter from them hihihi ;D

GOOD NEWS

There was a minor snag with my application at the last minute -- they asked me to resubmit my passport photos before my COPR could be issued. So rather than spending $90 for next day shipping from Canada, I uploaded my photos to a printing company just a few blocks from the consulate and got them printed and delivered that day, for just $19.

Today I got this email from the Sydney VO:

"Good Morning,

Your application has been finalised and your PR visa documentation will be sent to you this week."

I'm so pleased! Unlike many of you I've been in Canada for 3 years and couldn't leave while my (many) applications were being processed. I can finally visit my family!

congraaaaaats firefly!!!!! this one was the lucky one looool it's funny how u r the other way around: everybody can't wait for their pr to go to Canada or move back, u r waiting to b able to finally leave in peace and see ur family!!! will u go with the copr and land once u r back from Australia? or u'll just land at the border, wait for the PR card (maybe other 6 weeks) and then go?

Finally got PPR Today Via Phone Call From High Commission, New Delhi...

spokeperson told me that u have to submit your passport only & send it to our chankyapuri address.

still is there any chance that vo demands any additional document ?

after submitting passport how long it will take for visa ?

kindly confirm the address where i can send passport ?

Can anybody help me ?

Hi Amanda, Pls do give a shoutout if you ordered one, I think I'm gonna do the same, but I'll wait and order if there's no update in ecas by end of June.

They did ask her abt goods to follow..since we dont have any, we said none....Otherwise theres no limit on the goods you can bring in the first time landing.

I involved my MP only after 1.5 months of sending the passport to the ND VO...

On the GCMS...you need to do two forms...IMM5475E and IMM5563E and it costs only $5 which you can pay online and include the receipt along with the duly filled forms mentioned earlier and send them to the address mentioned in one of the forms...you will get a reply in approximately 3 weeks either by post in a letter or cd or by email whichever correspondence way you selected.

I did this twice on 2 different dates ( each request 2 weeks apart) and trust me the information you get is so much relieving.
