I received this email yesterday. (YAY!)

"Good Morning,

The results of the NZ Police certificate are now on file with our office. The Visa Officer must make a criminality decision (routine) and then the application should be ready to finalise. Providing there are no concerns in regards to criminality the application should be approved.

We will be in contact in the next 5-10 business days regarding the final stages of processing for your application.

Regards
Immigration Section / Section de l'Immigration"
Excellent! So PPR next? Lucky you!

Did you sent a copy of police clearance or got a new one again ?

Hello all,

Its been a while since I posted anything.

So on april 30th I received Sponsership approval.

Today May 10th, my wife received PPR (email). It also requests for Police clearance and Fee payment receipt. We already sent that. So we'll be sending the passport to New Delhi tomorrow.

I'll keep everyone informed as and when we have more updates.

Until then,

Cheers everyone. Your turn is NEXT.

Much luv

Inflight

Fortunately I'm visa exempt, so no PPR, just a COPR (confirmation of permanent residence.)

Is a COPR just some paperwork then?

the spreadsheet has me listed as vegas2canada, anyway, i got an email on may7th about paying the right to permanent residence fee to seattle. paid, and they received the receipt as of yesterday. my medical was done back in september 2011 and, my police certs were done in october. i'm getting so anxious! i just want to hear SOMETHING.

i'm getting nervous about my medical and police stuff.. when is that stuff going to expire? should i just redo my police stuff now since it takes 12 weeks to get it back from the FBI?? AHH. i'm going to have many grey hairs once this is over.

I was approved as a sponsor and the file transferred to ND VO on April 5. A week or so after that I saw Medical received added to e-cas. Over a month now, still no PPR. Does anyone know what are some of these reason why they might delay sending a PPR?

Did u receive the ppr???

Fyi, FBI is good for 1 year.

I think you have time. October is awhile away.

COPR is a long piece of paper (8.5"x14"). Though normally one still needs to send in copy of passport pages if one's from a visa-exempt country, unless the consulate/embassy allows in-person processing.

I know what you mean. From what I have seen on here (and the replied I have received for similar questions), not everyone gets asked for new police record checks. And on top of which, if you are asked, you may not be asked for months and then perhaps your new ones will be expiring (which would really be cause for grey hair!! ??? )

We are in the same boat though, and will probably start to redo some police record checks in a months time (which will be 6 months after we filed our app).

g'luck!

check this out:

http://www.cancomglobal.com/FAQ/Security/ClearanceValidity.php

How long is my police clearance certificate valid?
Your police clearance certificate is valid for a period of one year from the date it was issued. If the validity has expired before your visa is issued you will be requested to provide an updated police certificate from the country you are currently living in. If you have already submitted police certificates from other countries where you have not recently lived you will not have to provide an update.

Ok I think I have all the updates correct. I've noticed some new members, if u wish to be added please PM me your information and I'll add you.

If everyone else can check the spreadsheet to ensure your info is accurate that would be great.

Congrats to any new approvals and PPR's!

I'm checking our thread all the time so keep the updates coming.

I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! We're finally starting to see summer weather here in Toronto, we had it there for a while in march and then old man winter decided we wasn't finished yet. Enjoy the weekend and I'm looking forward to more updates next week!

No. Not yet. It's been 35 days now. I hope I hear something next week. I think they take long to request PP for Nepalese compared to Indians, but the turnaround is quicker for us (at least I hope). What's going on with yours? Any updates?

ND doesnt take more than 22-23 days for PPR usually, i think they might have sent PPR to wrong email address.(they always do that >:() i think you should send case specific inquiry to ND. its really too late i think. but dont worry everything will be all right.
good luck :)
Thanks. If I don't hear anything by mid next week, I'll drop them an email.
