By Monday or Tuesday, The postman gonna ring your bell and will hand you over the courier, a BIG envelope..

Just got off the phone with CIC... The agent told me my application was approved on April 25, 2012 and the approval has been sent by mail..

Call people call them....

So I called CIC, no records of my application. Not sure what to do ?

Called CIC again and still no records in their system and sent an email to Mississauga to ask about our application and asked to wait for 2-3 weeks
i said that our package was received at CIC on jan 26 and was signed by DAVE at mail room. she replied in funny way and said that "ohh confirmation from courier company doesnt mean that your application was received "
do you have any idea how long it will take to get reply from Mississauga after call center agent send an email to them?? ?? (cic is supposed to email me back after they find my application)
is there any more approval for january applicants this morning or last night??? ??? ???
anyone called CIC?? any positive response regarding your application??-
CIC call center is a mess of useless agents, i think its a "no profit no loss organisation" CIC does not pay any salary to agents, they are just on training there to get some experience how to handle angry, worried, stressful and helpless people like US, they just check your ecas and tell you same thing """NO RECORDS"""
we know very well that ECAS does not work properly even after getting approval

Hi, just curious ...did you speak to a few different agents before one could tell you that you were approved? I called yesterday before the cic website was updated, pretty much was told I had to wait about 2-3 weeks since they were working on Jan 19th apps. Then saw that the website was updated to Feb 1st and hour or two later. Even though the agent was nice and tried to be reassuring that it will get done soon, really dont think they know much about individual cases.

Just wondering now if I should keep calling to talk a couple dufferent agents?

Sent by mail, why? So inefficient. But great news for you regardless Look out for your PPR in 2-3 weeks...

ohh... dont worry they are giving same answers to everyone just forget about that and enjoy your life. i tried to do all kind of stuff and figured out that we cant do anything until they contact us..just wait .............approval will come soon
and i really dont remeber that exact address where i sent my package, it was something like

did you receive any delivery confirmation from courier company??

I totally agree if you can. You will save yourself the time, the effort, the frustration plus you might get an agent that will worry you more. However, I know it is hard to restrain yourself from calling

can you share your timeline please
and please dont get angry with poor agents, they are just working there for $11/hr part-time. :-[ :-[
they dont know more than you, they just try to check your online status with the help of details you provide them in same way as we do but we know that ecas does not work even after 3-4 days of getting approval. CIC gave contract to local call centers to handle immigration problems we are expecting help from people who just finished there schools maybe not yet :-\ :-\. working for minimum wages in call center for pocket money.
i am not angry with call center agents but really want to talk to someone from immigration

Thanks ashunandal, I figured the same thing. I know its not their fault, they only tell what they know. Just wish they had a few more experienced people working there!

They rec'd my file Feb 2nd, VO New Delhi.
Know I still have some time, but hope I should be hearing somthing about the first stage any day now.

My cousin submitted his file Jan 22nd, as far as I know he hasn't heard anything yet either :S

The reason I ask is because, I sent my application to this address:

Is this ok ? I saw that many of you were sending it to:

And the most unfortunate thing is, I moved to a new house in March and ever since I'm unable to find my receipt and tracking number. When I call CIC they ask me for the tracking number so that they can send an email and find out. But I don't have that.
