Yeah I think I'll call again.. Coz this morning when I called they pointed out to me they are still working on January 19. Now that it is Feb 1, they can't use that as a defense anymore lol. Plus I want to ask them if my updated employment status is still necessary for them or not.

Any one who applied between Jan 21st - Jan 30th,

NOT in CIC system ? What was the reply when you called CIC ?

yes cic received my application on jan 26 and when i called agent asked my citizenship number(dont have UCI), receipt number, name, date of birth and all kind of things and kept me on hold for 10 minutes. then she said there is no information for my spousal sponsorship application. and disconnected the phone

NOT is CIC system yet.
Now she is asking for traking number (canada post) and Receipt number (IMM 5401) to make a report.

Just Rec'd GCMS notes.

Somewhere between the lines I read this "Information, Photographs and documents submitted with the application suggest a bona fide relationship. Recommend waiver of Interview"

And then on top of it another Officer has written this:
" I concur with the waiver recommendation. No Concerns. Crim passed. Request passport"

This GCMS notes i got is having a timestamp of Mar 28. Now although i knew much better information, this notes calmed down by nerves and aided me interms of understanding the Visa Officers perspective on our file. It feels better to know they're completely convinced about us.

Like I said earlier, I knew a few days back from my MP that criminality, security, background and medical checks are all completed. My instincts tell me that on the Bring Fwd Date 25th April, 2012, the officer would have already made a decision for stamping which currently is not yet reflecting on the ecas.

But i will hold on to it for one more week and see how things change...

Cheers,
Srini

That was rude! well I just called again and this time the agent was friendlier and said they are making final verification and will soon receive a decision. I hope its true.
15 minutes of waiting for an agent to answer, I almost fell asleep to that instrumental music they are playing while on hold.

Hi, I was also thinking of ordering CAIPS a few weeks after the app will be received in the VO. How long did u wait before u requested your GCMS?

Almost 1 month after getting my PPR

Since they have updated the date on the website to February 1st, if you are from January person - I would definitely suggest calling CIC for info. If they say they have no record of you in the system at all still, I would definitely request a supervisor and politely demand to know where your application is.

When you call be sure to have the tracking number from whatever method you shipped your application in case they need to look it up. I would think they should at least have record of all January applicants in their system now since they are saying February 1st.

Good luck everyone!
