It helps to know that I am not the only one who hasn't heard anything at all. Also, calling in and not getting info over the phone is very frustrating. But knowing that I am not the only one makes me think that is is only a matter of time. It's unfortunate that we got the slow agent, or were put in the slow pile or something, BUT, I gotta believe it is happening. I am thinking next week (fingers crossed) for all of us!

My Husband is from Nipawin,Sk Canada and i am from the Philippines. He passed the our application last January 16, 2012 and as per the postal office the immigration office would recieve it on January 18, 2012. Unfortunately, until now we havent received any response from them even an acknowledgement letter that they have received our application. I am hoping and praying that everything will be ok and anytime soon we will be receiving any letter from them. I really wanted to be with my husband. ((

Our app was received by CIC Mississauga on January 10th, and as you can see above, we still haven't heard anything from them. I even called yesterday and they told me our app isn't even in the system yet. After I posted that info on this thread, two others replied with similar stories. I think we just need wait and be patient. I guess they had a lot of apps arrive at the beginning of January.

Right, so I had a dream (again) about this whole visa stuff and I woke up this morning to an email just confirming that they had received my application...better than nothing I suppose...! The thing is, the signature through Canada Post says it was signed for on January 6th, but the email says January 9th...I don't understand.... I have a UCI now though...
That's my update. Atleast I know it's there...2 months today!

yaaaay really happy for u Gemini ;D it's not the approval but it's in process now i think u'll have the approval next week!! OMG u really do have premonitions (is that the right name) : u dream abt it and then wake up with an email!! that's cool....maybe u'll dream abt other's applications too
that's odd - their receival date does not match the Canada Post one if it would b a big difference i guess i would call them/tell them to change/follow up/argue/send them the Canada Post confirmation, etc...but just 3 days i don't know if it matters that much!! well at least things r a little more clear now i'm sure u'll have a more relaxing weekend ;D

your right! Well, I'm just a lil bit worried because i am comparing it to my hubby's cousin application. His cousin is also sponsoring his wife here in the Philippines. They passed the application last week of October and they received an acknowledgement letter last Dec 10 2011 then January sponsorship approval letter received and papers were forwarded to Manila. 1st week of February his wife received a letter requesting for her passport then Visa and now she will be leaving on March 25 to Canada... so its just 4months..

i just hope all of us will just wait for 4months....

Thats really funny cause everytime I have a dream about the visa I either woke up to an email from CIC or there was an update on ECAS! Thats since the app was received in Dec and now its decision made. i think mississauga must have alot of applications sent in Jan but dont worry it seems like the second step has been really quick for most VO'S!

I felt so happy finally, it sounds like AOR. But they gave me Application No. to check the status.

I guess they are on a roll! I just woke up (in Taiwan at the moment) and had an e-mail from them! Got my AOR 2 months later exactly! Glad to know something for sure
