First off...congrats!

Second, I'm pretty sure this is normal, based on what I have read from other threads over the past few months( this question has been asked before). I think they refer to the application in whole, rather than just acknowledging the sponsor on their own. I wouldn't be worried...it's amazing that you heard from this quick! ;D


It's so exciting that a good amt of you guys have heard from cic. I can only imagine this week we will be seeing a lot more posts like this one! Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to be one of those members.

HI alf+jlh Thanks for doing the spreadsheet and all the work that goes along with it.... I would have probably done it myself.. but my hours at work right now are crazy... I put in 12 hours on this Family Day I figure that I'll work most of all now, and less when my family is here... Makes the time go by quicker too.. but the amount of people getting a response is amazing! The colour coding is a great feature! Wishing you and all the others in our group the best!!! The February people are watching us like we're watching December hehe

Thanks! I was a bit nervous to start it but it's really easy to keep updated considering the amt of time I spend on the forum.

I scoped out other spreadsheets and really liked the color coding idea so I copied that too! It makes it more exciting I think... We are all dying to be "green" lol

I just got off the phone with my husband and funny enough we were just talking about this huge gap of time that we will be apart before seeing each other next (about 7 weeks - yes that's huge for us) but working long hours is what is getting him through it too, so we completely understand where you are coming from!

Talk to you guys soon...back to watching the bachelor, oh man did I just admit that... :-[

Just a quick update....

Today, 20th Feb, 2012, I got a Canadapost mail from CIC with the much awaited letter approving me as sponsor for my wife.

I am pleasantly surprised to receieve something over the long weekend esp today "Family Day". Surely it is a suprise gift from CIC to me on Family Day giving me the good news.

The letter was dated 16th Feb, 2012.

Amanda: May I ask you to please update the spreadsheet at your convenience.


I sincerely thank some of my friends here esp adventurer, missmini, ashnundal, deepu, sajid for always trying to assure me everything is alright.

CIC is nothing but full or surprises....

Hope everyone would recieve their AOR's / approvals very soon...
