mine is the same
i sent in the application in janaury, the sponsor was approved april 5 and the same day the application was sent to mexico city.
since than i have not recevied anything from them. and my ecase has not changed either.
some people just dont hear anything untill passport is required. i would say just wait a bit, dont get too worried about it.

my visa office is in Ankara, trukey.

Hello Everyone,

I have created a form for all the New Delhi Applicants - 2012 who are not added to this spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArH8forkPk_AdDQ2cG9lNXlCc0hkTUYzazV4dHZwekE#gid=0)
Please use this form to add yourself... Pass on this link to all the New Delhi applicants for 2012 .....

This will help us to track the immigration process more accurately....

You can also send me a personal message.... This form makes it easier for everyone to use and easy for me to track all the users...

Thank everyone ..... Please share this link with everyone !!!!

Let me know if your feedback and suggestions ...

Goodluck everyone !!!

Really appreciate everyone's time for keeping this spreadsheet upto date....

Here is the link:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?pli=1&formkey=dE0xOTJQRHF0b0tXZlA1a1lJZTZqc0E6MQ#g

Note: if you are looking to update your information on this spreadsheet then you can submit another entry on the form or send me a personal message.

If they will require that you go for interview they will let ya know.I think they might have to write ya regarding that but if they ask for passport and still not called go intervie then there will be no intervie

I have added New Delhi 2012 Application Chart based on the spreadsheet Information.
You can also access it through "New Delhi - 2012 Application Chart" sheet on the spreadsheet.

Here is the link :

When i check online there are two heaadings, one is for sponsorship application status which it says descion made, and the other is premamnt resident application status which says the application has been recieved. with reading all the posts i am confused as to which stage my application from is at. can u enlighten me please?
where it says the descion has been made it says that i recieved the email which said that i got approved on may4th. and that they are sending my file to ankara. after that i have not recieved anything from them. what will be the next step amoss? do you know?

All your ecas really means is that your entire file was received by the visa office in Canada and that the sponsor was approved. and of course that your file was forwarded to Ankara. Every visa office seems to be different without how they treat ecas and also in what order they do everything. So it is really hard to say what step you are at. Ankara is listed as one of the faster visa offices though, so I would assume your file is either in process already or will be in process soon. In which case, if your visa agent likes ecas, he/she will update your profile to "in process", if he/she does NOT like ecas, one day you will simply receive a letter requesting your passport.

but if you really want to know exactly, there is no harm with sending an e-mail once in a while ;)

Hi.
Yes it does say In procees on ecas.
thanks
:)

i am just curious i was checking the ankara website and they said not to send email if the time has not been up...do u think it would be ok to send an email? or will it slow down the process further?

also what should i include the email? and have you yourself communicated with the visa office through email?

thanks again

Hi niloogoogooli ... I strongly recommend you to take a look at the thread "Damascus/Spousal since January 2010 or late 2009" (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/damascusspousal-since-jan-2010-or-late-2009-t51197.19350.html) . My timeline is very close to yours (and so are kamellia, laleh_d and mehdiR). Not much is happening with our files either, except the ecas of a couple of them has changed to "in process" for 2-3 months (but you can't really rely on ecas either). Come over to that thread and share your experience with us. :)

hi thanks for your response
when did u send your files?
also today i sent them an email asking in regards to the ecas and it not being updated. i just got an email on may 4th saying that ive been aproved and they are forwarding everything to ankara. but havent heard anything else
but it says the processing time is 6 months. so i really dont know
its becoming really stressful and frustrating.
our medical results will also be expiring soon so i dont know what is going to happen with that
i sometimes wonder if it is because the citizenship is iranian it is taking longer

becuase i have friends who applied last year and with in 3 months their spouses were in canada
it must be just our luck

Hi

I have written to my VO (Los Angeles) a couple of times even though the website says not to. I just wrote that I hadn't heard from them in some time and I was writing to make sure everything was OK. Both times they responded. I guess it depends on your VO.

But like imatra suggested, it's good to get advice from people who are applying through the same VO. They will know more than me.

Good luck! I hope it is not much longer for both of us (and everyone!!)!!

Within 5-7 business days

ankara could take up to 25 days; but if they consider u didn't pass the average processing time (which u did not yet) then they might not answer at all; even for ppl who sent documents updates, new medical exam etc they didn't answer - but they did make the necessary updates and continue with the process; even with no news at all, those ppl did finally get the visa :) usually they don't encourage to send emails, ask for updates - only if u really waited really long; i don't think they have that much ressources to answer to all emails; would u prefer having ur emails answered and wait longer or get the visa faster with no email answer? i would like the 2nd option :P;) of course if u sent them it's not wrong it's ur right to ask, but now just wait for a while and send again let's say in a few months
(and how i know: i used to b very active on the damascus thread for long time, still follow it; and all iranians files were transfered to ankara so i saw what happenned to them)
good luck!! :)
