Do you (anyone) think this could work?

Draft a letter from my girlfriend stating she borrowed the funds from me in early 2016 and the several bank transfers are repayments of that money owed. Also stating that she has no claim over the money and it is rightfully mine. Then go and have this letter notarized?

The thing is I've added it all up and she has actually transferred me a total of $8000 over the last 6 months (some of the payments are her half of the rent you see).

Otherwise - how do I go about doing a Gift Deed? I checked online and the docs seem way too complicated for what should be a simple letter stating the money she's already paid me is mine.

Thanks

I still believe the obvious solution is to show that this was your girl friend's half of rent (provide lease agreement showing monthly rent, food and utilities budget, whatever you two agreed to split). Are you claiming common law status or is your girlfriend not part of your application?

She's Canadian and I'd rather get PR through FSW off my own back than through common law which I believe is a huge headache!

I could show the tenancy agreement as we are both listed on there, however some months I paid, some months she paid and when she did pay me back it was always random amounts like rent x 1.3 or 0.25 rent etc etc, and never on a set date, only when she had the money available to pay me back what she could afford. You know how it is! Money always floats back and forth between couples.

We're talking like $400 here, $500 there, $863 here, $2900 there. It's random as hell.

Hi, I provided my passport number as identity. Should I also add my previous passport number? This previous passport number is mentioned in my current passport.

Please suggest.

Question re: proof of funds -

I opened a new bank account towards the end of Oct 2016, and moved money from all my other accounts into this one. This had nothing to do with applying for a PR - I just wanted to close my Bank of America accounts and use my local credit union, pay less fees, that kind of thing.

I have more than enough money in the credit union account, and have had it for the past four months. The average daily balance is well above the minimum required, and the pattern of transactions is very straightforward (big deposit to start with, followed by salary deposits, usual household expenses etc.)

However, CIC asks for statements for the past six months. Here's what I'm planning to do:

1. Statements for the past four months from the Credit Union. (Oct - Jan)
2. Aug-Sep statements from BoA (this will also show enough money to meet the minimum requirements).

Should I include a LoE? Does anything about this look odd to you guys?

Looks straightforward to me but if you have the slightest doubt, attach a brief explanation with the dox you described. All the best

Hi everybody,

I requested my previous employer's letter, but I got no answer from her. I did not claim any point on that job, but I got my T4 requested from CRA. Is there any problem if I do not upload a letter from my previous employer?

Cheers
