@ anya
there are some ppl in the whatsapp group who got their AOR in may ... have the bg check in progress they are outside canada.
its really crazy not sure what CIC is actually doing....we are trying to wreck our brains seriously....
if we can only understand if the processing is done in canada or the local visa office.....

if its been distributed to local visa office then i think they should be faster in processing.. as they should have all the candidates details accessible for bg check n all thse things ...

Yeah I understand but some of them have said that they previously lived in Canada and hence have work experience from there. My bet is that the others are in the same boat too.

To all those people on this thread that are saying that their status has changed (AOR to Meds Passed) in less than 2 weeks, I find that very hard to believe.

AOR 10th April
Meds Check, Not yet
Additional Docs, Not yet

Well, u better believe! I submitted e-APR on April 26 Sunday. On Monday April 27 my stat was updated with medicals passed. Unfortunately though, my BG check has still not started, and no other update since then.

My Meds passed in a week. There's a thread were someone explained about medical grading being either a grade A or B. Maybe they are going over your Meds again.

ITA: March 27
Medical Done: April 14
Medical Submitted to CIC: April 16
Application submitted: April 22
AOR: April 22
Medical passed: May 19
Background check Not Started: May 24

ECAS:
We received your application for permanent residence on March 2, 2015.
We started processing your application on March 3, 2015.
May 22: Third line added medicals results received

A regular user, Uozer, says on another thread that,

1. (S)he is pure FSW from outside Canada

2. (S)he received the 2nd AOR on 26 May

3. (S)he has BG check set to In Progress on 2nd June.

Anyone else from outside Canada who is seeing this progress?

Someone from Nigeria, Ghana visa office (Righteous) got PPR yesterday, submitted 27th April.

So outside Canada FSW is moving fast too.

ME!

Background: In Progress (since May 27)

ITA: Apr 10
AOR: May 1
Medical: Passed May 14
CELPIP Requested/Submitted: May 25

Apparently, after May 27 updates my medical back to "In Progress" status.
Quite confusing right?

I guess CIC is trying hard to finalize those FEB and MAR AORs, meanwhile APR and MAY AORs are stacking up quickly.

if people honestly got their status changed that fast, then hopefully CIC is working more efficiently, which can be a good news.
