Still haven't received my ITA...

Called IRCC multiple times the answer has always been "we are looking into the issue and will revert"...

Anyone can offer more helpful solutions?

Hello everyone,

Nice to find this thread on the forum. I received an ITA on the 1st March 2017. I am still in the process of collecting my documents and have two questions:

1. When I created my EE profile I had one dependent. My second child was born on 3rd Jan 2017, however, I did not update this information in my EE profile. So my question is, how do I update this information while filling my ePR application. Do I need to first update my EE profile or just provide the additional information when completing my ePR application? I wrote to CIC but haven't heard back from them.

2. Also, I understand that we are required to submit medicals for all applicants. My 1st dependent is 4Yrs and second dependent is 3 months old. When I called the panel physicians to book medicals, they informed me that since my kids are under 6, they are not sure what examinations are required for them and I should write to CIC to get a clear picture.

Hoping to get some answers.

Thanks,

Thanks,

1. Just update the info in your post=Ita application. EE profile is locked
2. The kids under 6 years will not go thru chest xray, but the can have (dont have to but can) a physical exam.

Dear All,

I am working on my application post ITA and need guidance on the following. Will highly appreciate your expert opinion.

1. My wife and daughter will not accompany me and hence are unaccompanying. I have read in some threads that there should be a SOLID reason for not accompanying your spouse like in my case, i want to give myself some time before i call my wife and daughter as she is only one year old. Will there be any issue or problem if I mention this in reason of not accompanying them at the moment?

2. To what extent we have to share the travel history of the family of spouse? For example if her brother or father had a short trip to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah (not more than a month) so should this be included?

Thank you in advance for the time and help and all the best to all for your respective applications

God Bless!

Thank you doro_07. Regarding point # 2, The following is mentioned in the travel history for both applicant and spouse:
Has xxxx, and if applicable, xxxx family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc.

Kindly advise. I hope i am not over thinking here

Thank you

It means you and your closest family members - like wife and daughter. Not family of the family. That woudn't make any sense.

Couple more questions. Will the fact that your family won't accompany you cause the fact that they won't get the residency? And then you will have to sponsor them (read : spend more money and time later on)? I have never heard of that situation. I heard about people leaving earlier e.g husband who settles in Canada and then family joins him, but they all went thru the procedures together. To make it more clear, from what I know families apply together yet come to Canada in separate times, as you would have I think a year to move, so you can move immediately and your family can join you later on. But I am no expert in here and if there's anybody more familiar with this topic please speak up.

I found the following:
Few questions on bring a spouse(dependent) to Canada -
1. After a person get's the PR card and now he wants to bring his spouse(dependent) to Canada, what will be the process for this?
Assuming the spouse was not part of application (i.e. got married after getting PR or declared as non accompanying in the application, you have to apply for spousal sponsorship thats a two stage process. First is the approval of sponsor i.e. you and second is the spouse's application processed at local visa office. For some countries it could take between 1 to 2 years to get that completed although lately CIC has committed to improve processing times.

Start here
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

This should address your other questions 2, 3 as well

2. What are the documents he will need to show/submit?
3. How long this process usually takes?
4. Does the spouse need to have ECA certificate, IELTS and other documents?
No
5. Does the PR card holder need to have a permanent job in Canada first in order to apply for his spouse's PR?
No
6. Will the spouse get a PR card later? If yes how long will it might take and what are the requirements?
He/She would land the same way as a principal applicant does and receive PR card 2 months or so latter in mail. There is no separate application since its part of landing process.

Proving my point. If they are not on an application you will have to do it "twice" meaning later sponsor them. So my advice would be to go thru PR with the whole family and you come to Canada earlier and later they join you.

Hello, I received invitation for MINP-OID 3 months back. But in last month I got SINP since draw cut off went quite low.
So how should I answer the question
Has XXXX received a nomination certificate from a province or territory?

Since the SINP-OID invitation I got was not for express entry, can I answer this question as no?
