He had never mention about the Canadian experience. He was not aim the managerial position for a moment because he targeted to get a job as soon as possible, so I think his job now is some kind of survival job.
Yes, there myth about Canadian experience requirement. But, some of my friends (at least 3) in Canada have never got demanding of the Canada experience. Maybe, IT is an emerging industry, so even Canadians did not have experience in Canadian IT.
