Issues with Medicals

I got a medical request last week and did the medical test on Tuesday. During the test, it was discovered that I may be hypertensive as my blood pressure was insanely high. The doctor did not refer me to a cardiologist or ask for further test. She only asked about family history and I told her that my father is hypertensive. I finished the medicals but since then, my results are yet to be updated. Others who did medicals on the same day as me have passed their medicals but mine is still requesting a medical. Should I be afraid? Has anyone passed medicals with high BP before? What could be the reason(s) for the delay?
Note that I have already gotten my AIP. I am also 25 years old. Nigerian.

Where did you do the medical test. I did mine at Q-life family clinic on Monday and it is yet to be updated too.

I did mine at IOM. Those that I met at the clinic have had their updated to passed. I don't know why mine is still the same and I am getting worried, especially because of the high BP stuff.

Heard they are mainly concerned about tuberculosis. Don’t worry they will update it soon.

You should be fine. Don't worry about it. Now that you know you may have an issue, go meet a doctor and get it sorted.

Thanks for this. I'll definitely see a doctor and get this sorted. However, do you think this may affect my study permit application?

No. Highly unlikely though. The things they strictly look for is HIV, TB or hepatitis. The worst case scenario for you will be a re-medical. Nothing more than that.

They've still not updated it but I requested my medical report from the MHAC. I was negative for HIV, Syphilis and my serum creatinine level was normal. Every other factor is cool apart from the high BP. I guess they are still reviewing the medical result?

Don't worry i think Physician might have ordered you for ECG rit?

Even i have Hypertension when i gave my medicals, i cleared my medicals on July 14th so don't worry medicals are just to see if you have any kind of transmitting diseases. It won't effect your Study visa

No re-medicals nothing just stay cool you are healthy, BP doesn't matter for Visa

If you are lil bit fat and these medical tests and all first time in your life you might have gone into some kind of tension that's it.

Thank you for allaying my anxiety. I really hope they update it soon. I wasn't referred for ECG. Just Serum Creatinine and it came out normal.

I was extremely nervous during the medical tests and I weigh 100 pounds and I am a little huge too. I am trying to stay healthy. Hopefully, I'll get into some regime or program when I get to Canada so that I can even be healthier.

Not true they look for expensive conditions to treat and communicable diseases. High BP shouldn’t create issues but may require a basic cardiac check-up.

Serum creatinine is for kidney disease which is tested because it is very expensive to treat at advanced stages (dialysis or transplant).
