On the CIC website under the live-in caregiver process it says areas of study COULD be to claim the 6 months full time education)
To claim training, it must be full-time training in a classroom setting. Areas of study COULD be early childhood education, geriatric care, pediatric nursing or first aid.
Does a 4 year university teacher degree in foreign languages not comply? Does anyone know if there is a place that I could find very specific info on what education qualifies or disqualifies?
I am sure that somewhere out there in Canada, someone is a live-in caregiver who was a teacher in some other subject as well such as foreign language? I think that CIC just thinks that my prospective live in caregiver is a risk to not return after the visa is completed. Funny enough, my prospective caregiver doesn't even have intentions of applying as a permanent resident, she does want to return to her country as her family is there and just wants the cultural experience and has travelled to USA, UAE etc....before.
