we have heard everywhere that we have to take the immunization record of the child.
is there any check list against which we can compare whether the child has got all those shots that are required in canada. though i have immunized my child i would prefer knowing all those that are required so i can do the needful here in india only........

I think this is only required at the time you'll enroll
your kid(s) into schools...

Is it required at the landing time?

I don't think it will be required at landing time. Once you get to Canada and get your health care in place, you look for a family doctor or if you can't find one, go to a walk-in clinic. The doctor will look at what vaccinations your children have had and what they need and get them up to speed.

You can see at http://www.caringforkids.cps.ca/immunization/VaccinationChild.htm#table1 what kids in Canada usually have for vaccinations.

thanks a ton leon.

I just realized that the vaccination schedule happens to different from that of india. It is probably because of difference in the spectrum of diseases prevalent in india and canada. In india in the 1st 2 weeks of birth we vaccinate for tuberculosis but it is not so in canada.

thanks again.
