Is Sponsor not working but applicant will be acceptable?

So my husband and I got married and had a kid while he was in Canada on a work visa. We both worked the same job but I took my maternity leave early because it was a physically demanding job. So my maternity leave ended while my son is still young and I'm not ready to go back to work. Also I will need to find a new job when I am ready because My old job was only night shift. My husband has been supporting us.

So now that I want to sponsor him but have no job will it be enough to get a letter from his employer to prove he will have a job if he immigrates and we won't need government support or will that not enough?

its not mandatory the sponsor must be working as at the time the sponsorship application is submitted......however, if you are not working you may include a note to explain your financial plan and why your family won't need government welfare.

Can your husband continue working and do you have a plan to return to work? I think if you can tell them what's going on then you should be fine. Gather as much evidence as you can that you can support your family unit together without welfare. Oh and congrats on the little one.
