Hey all, this is this info.

- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 9, 2015.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 28, 2015.
- We started processing your application on June 30, 2015.

Its been 8 months and still nothing about coming to do the citizenship test, should I call or is there anything else I can do to speed this up or is this how much it normally takes?

Ha, 8 months. It wasn't too long when it was 26 months to the test in some places. In any event, its impossible to give you feedback unless you tell us what your local office is.

omg lol.

i hope that isn't the case for me, but I'm in Calgary.

Thanks btw

I think, depends office work load (no. of applications) and file (case). For me fortunately, with same timeline got exam invite in Nov 2015 (but had planned visit during exam period, so did the exam later); after exam within 2 weeks got oath invite.
If there is any concerns by officer, then process is delayed, which is perhaps difficult to predict if officer has concerns, so better to get file notes.

There is no mandatory deadlines for citizenship applications, some people who have applied in 2010-2011 are still waiting.

What is the average timeline for citizenship from application to oath? in Calgary and in general?
