Montreal is a part of Quebec and they have a separate immigration system running parallel with CIC. You may need to pass some additional requirements to work in Quebec.

In my opinion, the data what you have observed could be arising because of the fact that the positions in rest of Canada are getting filled quickly with the locally available professionals before it goes to such websites(a lot of professional associations are existing and useful for networking among people in the same profession) where as owing to additional requirements in Quebec, they are taking more time to get filled...My opinion might actually be far from reality..though no harm in thinking about such a possibility too... Montreal I see it everyday on TV through 'Just for Laughs'...

Thanks Mangatholi for your reply, I am also a Just for Laugh fan, watch it every day on youtube. I am a family sponsor applicant and will be coming there, so i was doing my own IT jobs analaysis, just i noticed the difference in Montreal/Quebec.

I believe that all positions are equally advertised on websites regardless whether job is later received among networking.

There could be other possibility as well, which could be the language barrier for other Canadians to work in Quebec.

Well, though not specified when I wrote additional requirements, the French language ability is a challenge for most of new immigrants who are not native French speakers, other than some certificate to work from Quebec. Otherwise, why would they have a separate immigration system in place?
