Is it true?. that the draw selection criteria is based on CRS nd not on NOC'S?

Just had a discussion with one of our forum member abt this subject.

He is very certain abt this.

Any thoughts?.

Yes that is the point of whole EE CRS system, to get the best people in.

And in the initial draws ITA will only be based on CRS.

In future if there is a surge for any new NOC, CIC may give preference to that.

But as of now having few applications in your particular NOC is not something that can guarantee you an ITA.

How could this possible sumit? Let me give one example. one person having NOC 2173 with score 400 and second person have NOC related to other 2281 and score 363.

In this case who will get ITA? and on what bases he will get?

If there is equal or no demand for both then obviously applicant with score 400 will get an ITA..

I have a question here ... If EE draw is not NOC dependent then -

Considering CIC selects 1000 top scorers and they all are from NOC 2171~5 ... then would it mean that these 1000 top scorers will be absorbed in jobs other than NOC 2171~5 as well ... means computer professionals in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil and other jobs ?

Not a practical scenario ... what do u think ?
I think selection will be based on both i.e. top scorers within each NOC demanded by CIC .
Balance between demand and supply is must ...

Ok, just confirming what ever i heard is correct.
one can get ITA based on two scenarios.

1) having very good CRS nd we will get the ITA directly from Canada embassy.

2) Searched by employers and found as an eligible candidate and got the offer and then ITA.

right?

Guys CIC has mentioned that they will publish the number of candidates drawn and the minimum score with which a person got an ITA.

There is no mention that NOC will be considered. Same reason that there is no Preferred Occupation List as well.

I can understand there are more application for NOC 2171 - 5 but statistically it is not they all those candidates are top scorers as well right?

NOC doesn't determine your score but your language, age, Work exp and education do..

Now, we are talking abt getting ITA based on option 1 or option 2.

Lets talk abt Option 1 : all the candidates are ranked as per CRS and tops will get ITA.

What abt Option 2 ? when thats going to be?... how it will happen if they didnt consider NOC?..

But while filling the Express entry application ...we can find one option or dropdown NOC ..for which stream we are working as off now.

If CIC not consider the NOC ..then y all this code? Sorry i am just asking.
