Is it safe to travel on Indian ppt after receiving Canadian Citizenship?

Hi,

i plan to travel India in April and have received Oath Ceremony date for Feb 21, 2024.
Keeping my original plans, can I get the citizenship certificate and travel on indian passport ? (Surrender indian ppt after my travels and obtain canadian ppt)
OR
Book tickets at last minute after obtaining canadian ppt and surrender my indian ppt (not sure if i can submit indian ppt surrender and collect it later when i come back)

need suggestions.

Apply for and get your Canadian passport. Then apply for an Indian e-visa online which has a quick turn around time of issue and enter India with your C.Passport+Indian e-visa. You can surrender your Indian passport and get the surrender certificate in India, or at BLS once you return to Canada.

When you get the citizenship certificate, you are a naturalized Canadian citizen and no longer an Indian citizen. Travelling on your former Indian passport is a violation of The Indian Citizenship Act, 1955 and will land you in soup.
