Is it Mandatory to provide Secondary educatoin details in EE and PR application?

Hi ,

Is it Mandatory to provide secondary education details in Education history while creating EE profile and while Filling PR application after getting ITA ?


I have only provided my University degree details and got ECA done for it . Will it suffice ?

Hi All,

I have a similar concern in addition to the one above.

I have a master's degree from Canada and a previous master's degree and Bachelor's from another country. Now I want to apply for express entry under federal skilled worker, do I have to include those degree's from a foreign country in my profile (which will require ECA and I don't have it at the moment) or is it still ok if I just use my Canadian degree alone?

Helpful advice/suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

As CIC is asking you to provide secondary education details, it is highly recommended to provide these details. However, ECA is not required for these academic credentials

You can include the information about foreign degrees. For question regarding ECA for these degrees. Please select No because you already got points for Master's education from Canada.

The thing is , i did not provide Secondary education information in Express Entry profile . If I add this information in Education history while filling PR application after receiving ITA and choose "ECA done" as NO . Will it cause any issues ? In my opinion it should not because i am not claiming any points for Secondary education anyway and will provide supporitng marksheets and high school certificates . But I am looking for sure shot answer from someone more experienced and knowledgeable .

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question accurately but,

I have a high school diploma and a university bachelor's degree, both are foreign

I did ECA for my university diploma and did not provide anything for school education, if thats what you mean by secondary, you don't need to provide anything for it

Thanks , That answers half of my question that you did not provide any documnts for secondary education . But did you fill any information about secondary education in Express Entry profile or PR application after receiving ITA ?
