Is it good to carry immigration process on my own instead of consultancy

Dear All,
Greetings!
I am new for this forum and would like to know about PR from this forum. I am interested to apply for the PR in Canada but I am wondering to use some Immigration office to carry my all process. But I live in Nepal where the charges for the complete immigration process is near about USD 3000. It seems big amount for me so I was thinking to apply on my own using the available forum's direction. Will it help me to get PR or I need to use some Immigration office? really confused.

If it is okay by myself, will you please give me ideas where to make my first application from Nepal.

Welcome Samuel, you have come to the right place. Start by going through FAQ and downloading forms from cic.gc.ca site. Lot of folks in this forum are doing this on there own. I think you should have attorney if your case is complicated - some medical/police/employment issues.

Best of luck with what you do. Just make sure you read and understand instructions before submitting forms.

Hi Samuel,

There is nothing like good or bad about using a genuine consultant. I believe most people here have applied on their own only. I too was very apprehensive about using a consultant to apply rather than on my own but in the end I went ahead and applied myself. Consultants are expensive. A good consultant can take care of your applications, documents, correspondence etc but there is nothing that you cannot do yourself.Consultant only make your applying process easy. Rest is out of their hands. So, if you can spare time and search about immigration process, be active on this forum, ask your questions, I am pretty sure you will be able to do the whole thing yourself. It is easy .

Dear All,
Once again back, I would like to ask about the "Quebec Skilled Workers". If I applied in Quebec, Do I have to pass in Each of the ten factors or ..? As I different web pages, happen to see ten factors out of which is Language . And I really don't know the French Language. What could be the good suggestions for me either try for the Skilled Worker or Quebec Skilled Worker?
