I am already siged up to the E-Cas tracker, however I do not mind checking the status myself as It only takes a moment.

No. It's not only updated on Tuesdays! :o

From the tracker sign-up page:

"How often does e-CAS get updated, and when?

Most people get only a handful of updates on e-CAS during the course of a typical application. It can be many months between updates. Some updates show up for some people, but not for others (e.g. "medical results received"). For some reason, the CIC website says "The Client Application Status site is updated weekly, usually on Tuesdays". I have no idea why CIC has this on their website, since it is not true. At best, it is highly misleading, and really CIC should change this information on their website, as it confuses people. e-CAS can be updated on any day of the week, including weekends. The e-CAS Tracker system has seen updates to people's e-CAS files every single day of the week."

Thanks Matthew :)

I was checking it all the time too, but you guys honestly, don't rely on it always to update itself frequently.
My husband got his PR last week and it still says "in process" on e-cas. ??? I gave up on it after a while, then the
embassy just started contacting him by email instead.

I was quiet the Ecas Junkie too.

Ashamedly I Still am, Even after signing up to the ecas tracker.
but I'm not checking as often as I used to since I know I would more than likely get an email update if anything changes.

P.s I have read on other threads that ecas does get updated on other days as well as tuesdays.

i hear you, godblesswife! lol@ecas junkie. i wake up on tuesdays, and go "oh, it's tuesday... hmm... ecas." *sigh* it's driving me crazy.

We were updated yesterday!!! ;D medicals received and decision made. Just waitin for the postman, or postperson. LOL

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery!!

It's even worse now I have my I-phone because I'm now checking at restaurants, supermarket check-outs...it's a nightmare!!!

Good luck everyone, hope your applications are quick xx

You are soo funny Canoocknic..supermarkets and all my gosh loool, and thats when I though I was the worst thanks for making me feel better but im slowly getting to your level I just cant help it. When you find the remedy that works please advise..

i admit, i check e-cas everyday one to three times a day. hubby already told me not to because i always get disappointed. our status is stuck in "In Process" eventhough I got a reply from a case specific enquiry to Buffalo, they confirmed that our medical exam results have been received by their office. maybe we have a lazy IO?? :D (joke)

i feel like our cases are so confidential, even we ourselves don't have the right to know anything about it. i wish CIC can improve this part of the immigration process because waiting and not knowing what is happening is really hard.

oh well, i guess i should get a hobby. :D

I have been known to look on the websites of the restaurants we like in Edmonton and check the menus for what I'll have next time we go there!!! That's a great hobby!...or check out ticketmaster for all the concerts/sports events that we are missing or might catch if we get there in May as planned..that's fun too...no, really it is - uses up lots of time before I check ecas again!! :D

How does my man put up with me?!?!?

I have been doing this a lot lately, partly because we intend on visiting / scouting out places in a few weeks.... haha, but partly to get me excited/distracted.

My first stop is the Marble Slab Creamery...maybe even on the way to my sister's from the airport!! Dinner at Earls...counting down the days (not counting calories obviously!!) ;D

lol..i signed up for the e-cas tracker too...i just get too disappointed checking the system and then cause there are no updates i continuously was checking for an update. now i rest easily...i havent checked ecas for the last 4-5 days. i am so proud of myself. :)

I'm proud of you HoneyBird ;)

My biggest hope with the e-CAS Tracker is it will let people get on with their lives a bit and stop obsessing over e-CAS... maybe even spend some more time, you know, talking to their loved one or something instead.

Thanks Matthew C. :) :-*
