Is E.I.T considered a certificate of qualification?

I cant find this online. Can anybody tell me if Engineer in Training status qualifies as a certificate of qualification ? I want to use it to gain points in my Express Entry profile.

No. CoQs are only for skilled trades (plumber, mechanic, carpenter, etc.). EE covers the Federal Skilled Trades program too.

Hi,

I have recieved the PR invite, but lately i realised i did a mistake by stating "Yes" for certificate of qualification for which i am not eligible (as i am a software developer), I had mentioned NOC 2173 in the certificate of qualification details and i did not receive any points for that either, but in the document checklist it is requesting for certificate of qualification,for software developer we wont get any certificate.

Please can you help to deal this scenario? My last option is to decline the invite. please suggest.

Thank you very much for the response. I called CIC even they suggested the same, however at the end of the call agent goes "its your decision sir, you can decline if you would like to"" so i was in a dilemma.

Did you mention that you have a CoQs , since you have your E.I.T, I read that in certain provinces having and E.I.T is mandatory like Quebec for example

EIT is not a certificate of qualification. You answer "No." CoQs are for the trades - electricians, plumbing - that require education and apprenticeship. EIT and P.Eng are professional designations.
